  1. After a good bit of messing around I was able to get them to mate up! Thanks for your time, though mine does have a temperature sensor and gauge.
  2. I purchased the water temp sensor and holder from MSA for my 72 and cannot get it to thread into place. On close inspection the leading edge of the threads on the engine are a bit messed up. I went to harbor freight to get a tap and die set, but they didnt have anything that seemed to match exactly. The closest i could find was a 16 x1.5, but the holder didnt want to thread into that. Does anyone know what the proper size should be for me to repair the threads? Thanks
  3. IT would be fine at a Rallys though. Drive through on both sides of the building.
  4. This may not appy to the pathfinder, but with the trucks of the same years the wiring harness for the chasis and engine are a single unit and run about 700 or so from the dealership. I am guessing it would be considerably higher for the pathy.
  5. Dont do it! The wiring would be a major PITA alone. I have a 95 with 187k miles on it and it runs great. They are extremely reliable and make nice drivers, but are also quite cheap. It would be much better in teh long run to buy a good one for a couple of grand. The biggest problem is the timing belt in them doesnt last long and is kind of a pain to change. Everything else is pretty decent.
  6. looking for a pair of turn signal assemblies (or at least the drivers side) for a 72 240z along with an interior rear view mirror. If anyone has some spares please PM with prices and condition. I have checked the classifieds and hit the search button. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the input...I will check out his car.
  8. I just picked up a 72 240z and noticed some wonderful frame repairs after the fact. For the most part the rust is just on the surface and can be easily removed. However there are a couple of areas that I am very concerned about. These next two pics are the back edge of the floor pans as it rises up above the axle. I am betting these are important for structural strength, but I searched and didnt see any posts pertaining to repair/replacement of the rear frame rails. If i just chop out the rust and re-weld as opposed to rivet these back to the pan will it be safe or is a replacement piece available? Thanks
  9. Looks good! Where did you get the Alcantara? I haven't seen it available at our local interior shops.
  10. it looks like that motor tends to be cheap 0n ebay anyways. However, not with teh tranny, computer and wiring harness. These motors should work with the Broken kitty mounting kits wouldnt they?
  11. That is a fantastically low price....darn near scam cheap.
  12. Weird, I have never had a problem with mine not drying comepletely. Though, I also only used it on carpet and tweed. I have never heard of it reacting with vinyl before.
  13. I have used the 3M super 77 spray glue for headliners and door panels with good results. So long as you use the right amount you wont have any problems. Cheaper spray glue wont hold in high heat and humidity for squat.
  14. Yup the shop owner is pulling some BS. When we painted the bed cover on my old truck with some house of color sunrise orange on top of a yellow base it striped in several spots. It will be there for the life of the paint. At least it is a nice color, hopefully you can get him to fix it.
