Did you tinker with anything on the carb before/after installing the exhaust? P.S. - Please post a exhaust video with your twice pipes when you figure it out!! -
You could always just tap the hole in your shift knob if you really wanted too

Yes it's most likely the rings if you did a leak down test and got higher numbers.

So, a bad head gasket can result in cylinder/cylinders not getting any compression at all?

I have a 78' 280z too Well.. What's the condition of the parts?.. And how much would you charge for all of it? Flywheel, Clutch, tranny, everything. ; Yep we sure do have a pick-a-part here but currently no S30's

Looking for everything necessary to convert from a automatic transmission to a 5 speed transmission. Eg - 5 Speed tranny, Clutch slave cylinder, clutch fluid lines, clutch pedal assembly, ect; The whole shabang! Will settle for a reasonable price.

My 2 Cents: If it runs very rough for the first few minutes the injectors would not be running rough because of them being 'heat soaked' because it couldn't reach that high of a temperature that quickly. Check to make sure the injectors aren't touching anything that could possibly be making them heat up abnormally.
