Alright guys I had a few minutes and stopped by the machine shop. It's going to take 4 weeks to have the adapters made so we're looking at early next month.

Monday and Tuesday were extremely busy for me however I'm going to the machine shop today to place the order. I'll post later today what timeline we'll be working on.
Great news. We have 5 paid slots so I'm going to have the machine shop start producing the brackets. I'll keep you posted on the status once I let them know on Monday.
All the way from Australia! The RB30 has landed. Now to get the head off the RB26 and freshen everything up. I plan to get the rings and bearings replaced along with getting a valve job on the head and a crank collar pressed on. Then swap all the ancillary parts I had already bought for the RB26 such as the Nitto oil pump and OEM water pump. I had to order the timing belt from England and the crank collar from Australia. Hopefully they'll be here next week. While everything is at the machine shop I'll be able to clean and paint the engine bay. Still pushing for it to be ready this summer.
I would ask around your local gearheads to see if anyone has a drill press and lathe or a local machine shop.

Great questions Llave!
1. We looked at both steel and aluminum to ensure the strength will be there. I talked with a friend who makes brake brackets to see what he recommended for this application. Since these adapters are thick (3/4") aluminum will be good enough. They don't have threads so there's no chance of the metal stretching under the torque.
2. Right now they will be raw so buyers can decide what color they want to get them powder coated or painted. If there is enough interest in getting them powder coated I can check into what the cost would be.
3. The machinist said we could get them done within a couple weeks after payment is made. If we go with powdercoating that will add more time.
4. Yes if we don't hit the goal of ten then the funds will be refunded or I'll go back to the machinist and see what we can work out. The more we get made the cheaper it will be for everyone. I'll also post this on DPAN's facebook page so we shouldn't have an issue reaching that goal.
I'm glad I could get this done for everyone. It feels good to give back to the community after learning so much from this site and the folks on it.

Ok guys I heard back from the machine shop and they can make the adapters. The early bird special for the adapters will be $185 including bolts and shipping to the continental US. The brackets are being converted to CAD and should be done this week. Once they're completed and machined they will be for sale then you'd need the rotors and calipers.
Well as with most projects there's going to be some set backs and this one is no different. My buddy was supposed to come over this weekend to weld in the passenger side frame rail. Since we had done the driver's side already I decided to bang in the old frame rail so the new one would slide over the top to save us some time this weekend. I finally got everything in place and notice some rust on the floor pan (big surprise). Long story short we had to postpone welding in the frame rails to deal with the floor pans.
I didn't want the weekend to go to waste so I decided to tackle the fenders flares. A huge thanks goes out to Lee Nash for documenting his fender flare installation here http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/96953-my-240-rb26-build/page-9#entry976894 It made the entire process a lot easier.
I couldn't find those threaded blind nuts so I'll have to order them online and finish installing the flares. Now when my buddy drops by he can weld the fenders together along with the floor pan and frame rail. Ah nothing like progress.
I almost forgot about this thread. I bought the Seibon hood and compared it to the Retro Spec parts and they all look top notch. I did notice my flares are a bit thin but other than that they look the same and you really can't tell they're from a different company. Here are some pics.
