  1. Here is a good score for someone close by: http://www.corpusracing.com/community/showthread.php?7911-S2000-seats-for-sale You can set up an alert in Google mail that will send you a link for whatever your parameters are. For instance, I set one up for "S2000 seats sale" and I get an email every time someone posts a set for sale.
  2. Man that thing sounds NICE!! Great job!
  3. I noticed the sm rear brake kit comes with vented rotors instead of solid ones from the las vegas guy. Still, his set up is half as much.
  4. The reason why they threw me off was my 4x4 calipers don't have the ridges on the face like those so I thought they were from a different car. But like cockerstar said they are off of different year Toyotas.
  5. I thought those calipers were off a different car. So then what is the difference between the stage 3 and 4? Just based off observation from my last Coffee and Rides there were several Ferraris and other exotics with drilled rotors including the new 458 which had stock brakes. So the question is if it's a bad idea to run drilled rotors then why are the exotics still running them? FYI- I've read but can't confirm that drilled rotors with tapered holes prevent the stress cracks you mentioned.
  6. Did you have the stock brakes before the upgrade? I've got the old toyota 4x4 upgrade with vented rotors and wonder if those would make a noticeable difference.
  7. Looks like this kit here: http://www.reactionresearch.com/daytona.htm He sells them for about $5000 plus shipping. Too bad the body is rusted. It would have made a cool project.
  8. Here's a short video of the Ghia with the V8. http://www.engineswapdepot.com/?p=1447
  9. Yeah I picked up that mag at the bookstore and that LQ9 swap was very cool. He's only about 30 minutes south of me so I might make a road trip to check it out.

    SDS and temp gauge

DOes anyone know if you can tap the temperature wire on SDS which can be read by an autometer temp gauge? When I removed the wiring harness I got over zealous and pulled the wires for the temperature gauge. Now that I'm replacing my gauges I figure I'd get it installed correctly.
  11. Found out the answer to my question. According to autometer you can't use the original sender with their oil pressure gauge.
  12. Hijacking my own thread. Does anyone know if the original connectors for the oil pressure gauge will work with the autometer gauge?
  13. Thanks Lonestar. I wish the pictures in the thread were still available. So if I understand it correctly you affix the plexiglass to the hole were the gauges go and then attach the gauges to that? What about the outer edges not filling up the holes? Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! haha
  14. I've looked for this answer but haven't found it yet. I see most guys are putting their new gauge (speedhut, autometer, etc.) into the old gauge cup. Do you also use the old face as well even those they have that bar bisecting the original gauge? My autometers are way too small to fill the original holes so if anyone has pictures of the process that would be great.
  15. Not sure if this has been posted before but I thought you guys would enjoy if it hasn't. Enjoy My link LS1s seem to be the engine of choice for hybrid cars.
  16. For those that are still drooling over this car here is more information. According to the article, the build costs $260,000! Here is the link: http://www.engineswapdepot.com/?p=170
  17. That thing is sick. It's been awhile since I've seen a Karmann Ghia on the street. Makes me want to go look on ebay for one!
  18. Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll be saving my pennies a little longer
  19. I found these HID headlights on ebay and wanted to see if anyone has used them before. They're a lot cheaper than others I've seen but I want to make sure they're not junk: My link
  20. That green looks sick! I wouldn't of thought that it would look so good on a Z but it does. Great choice. Now someone has to do the Mopar Pink on their Z. ha ha
  21. If it were me I'd get down to one project because babies aren't just expensive but take up a lot of time. When my son was born I didn't have time for one project let alone three or four. Now that he's six, he loves to ride in the Z. If you have the funds to store them try looking for a storage in Belton or somewhere a little farther out of town.
  22. The modern day Cobra? Big engine small car can never go wrong!
  23. Lawsuits are the new 401k plans in this economy. How else is a guy suppose to retire?
  24. You could look on ebay for a SDS efi for a fraction of the original price. Just make sure all the accessories are included and working. Just found one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SDS-Simple-Digital-System-EFI-EM-4-6F_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ65Q3a12Q7c66Q3a2Q7c39Q3a1Q7c72Q3a1205Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem2ea6b570c9QQitemZ200365404361QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  25. I don't miss jack. I've owned my Z for 20 years and one of the reasons is I know I'll be kicking myself for selling it. Even this weekend I was depressed because I blew a tire and had to wait 3 days for Tirerack to deliver a new set. Even my wife noticed I was moping around the house last weekend.
