  1. Thanks Gord I'm glad you like them. I've been pming Joek back and forth. So far it looks like the 240z hubs require a longer bolt (45mm) and two washers. I'm sure he'll chime in when it's sorted out. Once we know for sure what's needed I will send out the bolts and washers to everyone that needs it.
  2. I just got my calipers back from the powder coater and put them on the car to see what it would look like with the cf fenders and Rotas.
  3. Try messaging Paulo Cesar Sierra on facebook. He's the owner of Retro Spec.
  4. It's been brought to my attention that the 240z hubs are a little different from the 280z hubs which are on my car. I went back and looked at the DIY facebook page and sure enough you either have to swap out the 240z hubs for a set of 280z or utilize a washer. Here's the portion of the write up addressing it: The final piece of the puzzle (if you are a 240Z owner and you purchased the same adaptor as me) is a set of 260Z front hubs. This is because the original setup was not performed on a 240z, and the hat height of a 240 differs by about 3mm. This causes the caliper to not centre over the disk once it’s bolted on. You can offset this with a small washer/spacer, but I thought best to just get the hubs. JoeK brought it to my attention and he's going to see what needs to be done to get everything lined up. If anyone else that has a 240z and has installed them please chime in so I can see what I can do on my end. Thanks
  5. Glad you guys like the way they turned out. The machinist didn't get a chance to polish them when I showed up. I figured you all would rather have the parts a day sooner rather than waiting on polishing. I've got 3 adapters left and yes I can ship overseas as well. The price is the same, $185 for the adapters, bolts, paypal and shipping in the CONUS. If you're overseas send me a PM for a shipping quote. Thanks guys.
  6. It must of gotten buried in the posts but the center hole needs to be enlarged. I used my old ring adapter from my Toyota 4x4 calipers as a template. Also you have to install the calipers to the brackets BEFORE you mount them to the car. There isn't enough room to install the brakes with the adapters on the car.
  7. I haven't bolted anything on yet because the engine bay needs to be painted. The parts are a good bit lighter but I haven't weighed them compared to the stock panels.
  8. Thanks! I'll drop it in the mail tomorrow after I pick up more bolts.
  9. Alright all the adapters have been shipped as of today. I've sent tracking numbers to either your hybridz email or through paypal. I still have 5 extras so if anyone still wants a set just let me know.
  10. According to their Facebook page they flocked the top of the dash. They said prices start at $900 and goes up from there. I'm not sure if they make a 280z version of this dash but I would need the 280z version as well. One of the main issues I have with the Retro Spec dash is the possibility of glare coming off of it while you're driving.
  11. I was looking at the Lexus Matador red. It looks amazing in person.
  12. If I had a 240z instead of a 280z I would seriously look into this dash from Palm Composite: I'm not sure why it's not on their website. I found this photo on their facebook page.
  13. That's an interesting set up on the turbo piping on the driver's side. Do you have any pictures showing how they come together prior to the intercooler?
  14. It looks like the cf is over layed on fiberglass.
  15. Thanks. The RB30 is a larger displacement engine which produces more torque down low. They can handle 600hp stock with a RB25 or 26 head.
  16. I bought the entire front end from Retro Spec and they make quality stuff however the turn around time is measured in months not weeks.
  17. I got an email from the machine shop saying the adapters where ready so I dropped everything and went over to the shop. I'll pick up the bolts and mailing boxes tomorrow then mail them out on Friday. I ordered a few extra sets so if anyone still wants some just let me know. Also while I was there the owner said he can reverse engineer practically any part. If you have a part you'd like made just let me know and if there's enough interest I'm pretty sure he can make it.
  18. That's just the way I feel sometimes. lol
  19. A few shots with the air damn mocked up. Nothing is permanently bolted on obviously.
  20. After four months my fenders, cowl and headlight buckets have finally arrived from Retro Spec. There's not all lot of room in the garage so I'm storing them on the car for now. The weave is a little wavy and patched on one of the headlight bucket on the top but all the other parts look great. The fenders were already cut for the fender flares by Retro Spec so that will save me from having to cut the fenders. I'm still prepping the engine bay before I paint it (maybe this weekend) but should have everything permanently mounted next week. The engine should go to the machine shop on Friday as well. Progress.
  21. That should be fun. Let's do it!
