    Is ms sequential

When are you expecting them to be avaliable I dont really want an injection system thats batch fire for my car. If i already had batch then fine but since i am buying a system then i will be getting a sequential

Awesome Yeah would be good to catch up. Would like to see it and see what you have done I like what you have done with the coils

    Is ms sequential

Well thats what i want to get to. What happens is another thing What has been done to your l28et
  4. Plus with a good ecu you can trim a cylinder if ones not flowing the same as the others Something like you have. A motec

I want traction control because im shooting at between 350 and 400 whp. Also I would like to do some club days etc etc to have switchable traction control would be handy trying to get power down off the turns Then we i want to clown it up i want to be able to slide down the road sideways in 2nd gear fighting for traction I didnt think that the ms was sequential ethier , i really want that so i can get the mid range torque you and driveabilty you get from sequential ,As well as the ability to trim cylinder mixture to max power

Yeah Motec is nice but damn its expensive I was speaking to mark there tech guy and it was going to be $3700 by the time i got the m600 with traction control on it The haltech is about 1600 and the autronic is 2200. However there is no doubt that Motec is the best Im glad to know that the ms can do sequential , i will have more of a look into it
  7. Yes you need to keep them the same across the cylinders, Thats the hard part is keeping them the same. No i dont normally measure with a ball bearing , but since I had some them i tried them down it. They did actually show me that the diameter down the runners was very close between them I was looking to get the diameter up to help the flow. The thing is with manifolds like this is unless you have sidedraft webers then or itbs then the flow is going to be different between them all anyway.
  8. Im using a die grinder with a 9" shank then im using cartdrige wheels to clean up the alloy afterwards I build alot of race two stroke engines so my stock of burrs is quite big
  9. Ok how is this Its a bit darker but you get the idea more
  10. ahh the photos look real bad because of the reflection of the shiny surfaces I will take some better ones tomorrow
  11. Ok well got in there with the porting tools when i started i couldnt fit a 32mm ball bearing down there now i can roll a 35mm one straight down there I also cleaned out the short turn alot so that its a more direct flow Im very happy with the result the pictures dont show it as well as it should, but you get the idea I have started to clean up around the outside of the manifold , the casting marks will all come off then i will take it down and get it sandblasted to give it that sand cast look again. My goal is to make it look like an aftermarket manifold and not a hand fab job
  12. Im looking around for information for the best ecu for my car at the moment i am thinking of haltech or autronic Was just wondering if the megasquirt is sequential or only batch fire
  13. Im waing for my long burr to come in so i can get into the middle of the runner on this manifold should be here in a couple of days
  14. Yeah i can clearly seem some differences. I think its a very simillar casting with some added holes for the pressure relief valve etc Like my one thats an egr intake , a pain really as you have to grind it all off If you go to a hardware shop you can buy wheels for your grinder that cut alloy and man do they cut alloy I was going to take some more pics but i havent finished the porting so i will wait until then to put some more pics up On a side note buffing compound for an buffer makes a great thing to stop the cutting tip from clogging
  15. I didnt think there was a difference. But im just new to the l6 series engine Can you tell me what the differences are please
  16. Yeah thats what u have in mind,to come in it on an angle. Im just making the top and the bottom at the moment and then i will band saw the front flat and at an angle with a plate on it to bolt a throttle body too.
  17. Not sure how much i can enlarge them but have een porting it this morning and i agree with you, the 1 and 2 runners are badly obstructed. BY widening the front of the plenum i am hoping to get a much better approach on them. Because my manifold started of as an egr manifold it has a nasty kick on the bottom of the runners. I spent alot of time there getting rid of that.
  18. Thanks just working on throttle bodies at the moment Im looking for about a 65-70mm I will just get the manifold sorted before i buy one Tomorrow its in the runners with a die grinder getting there flow up Just bring out the runners 3mm in diameter will bring up the area by 20% as well the cleaning up is going to help the flow alot as well
  19. these panels will be welded in and will increase the size of the plenum as well as give a better approach to the front runner
  20. Ok well i have been looking around and to be honest none of those manifolds i see out seem to have much put in in the way of thought And they are down right ugly if you ask me So here is my take on the manifold situation Its just starting out so easy on me As you know or should know the general of thumb is plenum at 1.5 time engine capacity So 2.8 = 4.2 on the plenum Well we all know the std one is unlikely to be even 2.8 litres So its out with the alloy cutoff wheel and here we go

    RB Rebuild

Excellent thread good pics and info In my experience with jetski porting and other two stroke engine porting i have found that running in the carbide in a buffing stick stops the alloy sticking to the teeth
