  1. N1 pumps are made of glass, hit the limiter a few times and they shatter. Use a tomi or something like that. Its a very common thing to have happen if you use an n1 pump
  2. Alot of drag cars making in excess of 900 hp at the wheels use the stock throttle bodies so im not sure if this will be an issue at all
  3. So you don not have to skim the block bore and put them in ?? Ok sounds like a plan i am building an rb30dett and really only looking to run 15psi boost So slightly higher compression is what i am after for off boost driving
  4. yeah ok i should have six but it comes off as three Im using the stock rods and bolts as alot of people here in australia do and are making over 400hp at the rear wheels doing it , thats enough for me You cant buy arp rod bolts for rb30 rods but i believe you may be able to for the vg rods. Im not sure on that one
  5. if you use the n/a rb30 pistons you will end up at about 8.3:1 this is what i am doing The std rod bolts on an rb30 are bigger than arp 25 bolts so they will be fine the con-rods are massive so you will be fine there. Really all the bottom needs is a good honest rebuild and away you go.I am using the rb26 head as the triple throttle bodies are way cool and i like the solid lifters as well.
  6. Yes it is in. In Australia we call it hammer tone.
  7. Got my covers back from being powder coated. I'm very happy with the look, I don't want the motor looking too over done. I still have to do some cleaning on the intake manifold but it's getting there.
  8. Go for it see how you get on. You can make any gearbox last behind any engine as long as you are careful. Personally I would rather not be sitting on the side of the road with a box full of neutrals waiting on a two truck.
  9. The rb20 transmission will never survive with the rb25det , its the torque that destroys them.
  10. I would if i was you. The turbo engine will go alot harder and isnt not much more work / money to fit in than the 25de
  11. The head on the rb25de and the head on the rb25det are different. The port sizes are different , smaller on the rb25de Also the pistons are different as you would expect. I would get an rb25det and put n/a pistons in and drive it for a bit if you really want to go for an rb25de and not a det.
  12. Not fair huh? My engine cost me 10.50. Most people here get given them, but i wanted a series two block, its already drilled for the turbo lines.
  13. Yes it was the diesel patrol The sump cost me 150 and then just took me some time to modify it
  14. I'm sorry to have offended you . Please in future can you send me a pm so i can fix the problem instead of quoting me and thus putting me in a position where i am unable to fix the issue.
  15. OK well engine is coming along nicely. I have got n1 turbos for it so I dont have the stress of having ceramic in the turbos blowing apart at high boost. Just dummy fitting everything and will put it all together in the next week or so, Im still not sure in my head what colour to paint then engine yet You can see the mount for the castlemain kit to fit the rb series engine into the 260z
  16. The rb20det head has alot smaller ports , in fact it flow about the same as the sohc rb30 head It also has a much smaller bore than the other rb series engine that share the same bore You could i guess weld up a rb25 head and recut it to fit the bore of the rb20 not sure how you would go with valves
  17. Damn bring back the 80s high cut swim suits for the girls
  18. The head is not interchangeable between them as they have a different bore size the rb20det you cant even sell in Australia as they don't have alot of potential However rb30s are cheap here so i guess we live in the promised land I saw some guy putting a sohc rb20 in a car over here , not sure why you would want to hamstring your car that badly The sr20 makes more power and is lighter
  19. Thats because of the emission laws I bet if you went to x-h20.com you may find one or two people that ride in socal
  20. Thanks for the comment about the superjet engines Its a part time business of mine building free ride engines for superjets
  21. ok sweet well this works awesome so your friend did a great job here is extra transfer port i cut into it
