FEAL suspension/ welding lower perches
Kevlars30z replied to andyhorror's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
So pretty much all you need is the T3 bolt on camber plate and you're set? I'm kinda stuck between FEAL and BC. I personally prefer FEAL over BC. But the whole buy your own camber plates is kind of making me lean towards BC's bolt on kit. -

I've head a person say that FEAL had something for the s30. I've searched like crazy and never saw something. Please post pics! Are they made for an s30? -
As the title states, I'm willing to buy a 72 240z hood. In good condition with no dents or significant rust. I'm open to a price that is reasonable. Please don't find this as a way to take advantage on selling it over priced. I'm located in Southern California. So anything close to me would be awesome. Thanks

Nope, I didn't cut into the firewall. The only cutting I had to do there was cutting off the original hood latch. The engine bay does have space but you can't quite move the engine forward because it'll hit with the crossmember. In that location, I had to cut about 1/2 an inch off the crossmember. I guess you can move it forward but it will require a whole new custom crossmember and steering rack set up. As for the shifter, there is a shifter relocation kit that is sold, all it does is shortens the original shifter location. I didn't buy that but just modified the original shifter mount. Yea the shifter sits back father than the original but it doesn't bother me. I actually like the location of the shifter, I don't have to reach out so far. For now I'm running the original fuel cell with a bigger return line, but I really do need a fuel cell. Overall I'm pretty happy with the swap, yea its not Rb or 1j/2j set up but its an awesome motor that does the job of moving the car quite quick.

For sure man. If you have any other questions, feel free to IM me.

Sadly the only pictures I took of any mount was the motor to bushing mount. I failed on that part. The first motor mounts snapped from bushing to frame, I guess thick metal wasn't thick enough. Went back and we designed stronger ones, they've been holding up very well. As for the trans mount, we modified the 350z trans mount.

Thanks man!

How is it going guys? So about a year ago I picked up this low mile VQ35de for cheap. Complete motor, transmission, Ecu, BCM, Nats...etc. Well story short, within a month (maybe a week or 2 more) my father and I had it running. We didn't flash the ECU to get rid of the NATs, had to cut a inch or so off the crossmember, I'm running the stock rear end, custom driveshaft, custom trans and motor mounts, and stock brakes all around (with hawk pads in the front).Im not going to go far into depth about the swap but if anyone has questions, I would be happy to answer them. I'll try and upload current photos of the swap later tonight. Goodbye little buddy, you did me well Removing some unwanted spaghetti, we didn't shorten the wiring or clean it up that well since that will be done when the car is painted (within a year... hopefully). I'll try and upload some current engine bay pictures later tonight. Here are current pictures of my car in this years JCCS. Photos were taken by a fellow hybridz member: Borini63

Coilover tube question

Were the teins installed? If so care for a write up? -
Admins please lock or delete. Found one later last night.

I'm willing to buy a 72 240z choke cable, fair price and in good condition. I need it in the next day or 2, so it has to be local here in southern California near Garden Grove. Thanks

For the rear hatch I used MSA weather stripping, sealed great for me. At the beginning you need to slam the hatch and even adjust the latch to make it close well. But after a year the weather stripping molds in.
-
I paid $23 for 28ft and had some left over. Washed my car and it sealed great, happy with the results.
-
Not sure if any socal guys have done this. But I went to the Ecology High performance swamp-meet out in Long Beach. Came across a guy that sells weather stripping and I picked up 28ft of weather stripping for the doors. Managed to install them today and I'm happy with the results. Needs a little slam to close but thats cause they're still new. Haven't done a water test yet but I'll let you guys know how it goes once I wash the car.

Yea I saw the post but wasn't so sure if it was a R200. Been spending the last 2 nights reading up on all the differentials that are available for us.

Which differential are you running?

Z32 calipers on my 240z
Kevlars30z replied to wickiewicked240z's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
What size are the spacers? -
As the title says, lets see those brake duct set ups. I will be installing brake ducts and want to see the different set ups. From the air dam down to the rotors.
-
What's the offset on the rims?
-
My pops owned a couple, fell in love with them around 6. Got a 72 240z in may 2009!
-
I installed the MSA one not that long ago. Putting on the chrome piece is a B&*@H! But besides that, it fits well.

Does anyone know where to buy 84 300zx drill/slotted rotors and 4runner s12w calipers for cheap? Fast under car wanted 189 for the rotors but they where only drilled.

Toyota 4 piston vented swap
Kevlars30z replied to Kevlars30z's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Yup just found the info, turbo is 5 lug, NA is 4 lug. Thanks.. I have a friend that works at Fast Under Car. Going to see if I can get the calipers and rotors from there, if not Auto Parts was my second place to go.
