  1. aint nothing wrong with turbo'd v8's my friend. Andalot of stock v8's pu tout 300 hp. Slap a turbo on that and youve got a fun streetable motor. And v8's move alot more air than v6 so ive always thought that a v8 with a turbo would be great.
  2. aight so whats the difference in the engines? which car they came from isnt gonna make a difference in the price of ethe engine alone. What is the difference between the two engines.
  3. so whats the difference in the black top SR and the red top SR ,besides the price
  4. Im sure with some minor modifications to the electric motors and a better alternator, you would have much better charge times. I think that someone with some good slectronics skill could improve upon the limitations of this type of setup. Granted it isnt cheap, its just and idea that has flopped alot that someone has finaaly REALLY devolped into a functional device. I think that instead of running a 15 second shot off of the battery packs they should use the alternator to charge the battery pack that would in turn charge some type of capacitor(just a thought though ihave limited knowledge) The wait could prove to be a problem though.
  5. check THIS out!! this one might actually not be bogus. http://www.boosthead.com/ thay are claiming crazy horsepower gains, but then again this thing isnt cheap, but with some neo magnets in those motors i bet it would be ALOT more powerful. worht a look.
  6. terminal velocity bucko, it would only go about 160-70 i knoe of streetable z'z that are faster than that.
  7. Camber does change as the front and rear suspensions of the 240Z moves through its range of travel. Both the front and rear suspensions are designed to gain negative camber as the suspension compresses. This is to offset the positive camber gain caused by chassis roll. An independent suspension that doesn't gain camber in bump is difficult to make handle well. The Ford Tempo and Mercury Topaz are fine examples of a poorly designed independent front suspension. Danke, you learn something new everyday why is it that indy cars have a suspension that does not travel in an arc?? is it because they can afford to spend the time figuring out how to make it handle well? is the fact that you have teh whole footprint of the tire on the ground at all times worth the extra work?
  8. CMON DUDE ITS LIKE A MINIVAN. the engine has one of those "dog house" covers just like a minivan. They are totally soundproof, itd be no louder than a v8 chevy van.
  9. my dad owns one of the biggest powdercoating shops in texas. I would reccomend geting everything tat can be sandblasted sandblasted. the company that makes the masking tape you have to ues is called shercon, the stuff is green and totally heat resistant. If you dont have EVERYTHING down to bare metal you will get drip and/or bubble. and you cannot sandblast powdercoating off, you can either grind it off or have it chemically/salt stripped off. MAKE SURE YOU DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME SPARE NO PREP TIME
