  1. the search button is constantly heralded as the solution to all your problems round here.
  2. ive never bled the brakes before. Ive always driven to the track and hed the car i was supposed to be driving waiting for me. So thats basically why i was asking if theres anythign special i need to do.
  3. I ordered the new parts last night, and im in the process of getting the old junk off right now. i went ahead and bought the clutch master and slave cylinders and the rubber hose. AIs there anything i need to know about taking those off and installing new parts? ive never messed with clutch parts before.
  4. wow solid diagnosis thank you very much. pulled the slave cylinder and it did indeed puke fluid. Didnt even have to pull teh master to see it was leaking. off ti find parts i suppose.
  5. Bare with me i'm mechanically inclined enough to do anything i just dont have the knowledge to diagnose problems yet. The problem i have is my clutch went totally limp today at the end of a long trip. Theres enough pressure to push the pedal back up but just BARELY enough to open the clutch so i can get the cvar in gear. Once the car is in gear there is no clutch slippage at all, just no pedal. Low on fluid? this is a stupid question but where do i put more fluid in, whats considered low? (please dont flame me this is an embarrassing post)
  6. Sure i was in the rain but who cares? So i have heard mixed opinions about how3 the 240z drifts. I have heard that the stearing isnt quick enough the f/r balance isnt right and the thing is just down right hard to get sideways. Well, it rained for about 45 mintes today and i know of a pig open patch of particularly slippery pavement to test this theory out on. I am by no means some god of a driver but i consider myself to be a fairly experienced racer in many senses of the word(drag, circut racing, some rally) so i think my view is subjective though i have enough experience to be able to make an educated statement. So i must say for me, the 240z is a very capable drifter. It wasnt to hard to get sideways and once it WAS sideways it seemed to want to stay that way,. I felt very much in control when doing circles, 180sand some high speed (over 40) sweeping 180 degree turns. In transitions from left to right and vica versa i could see where the stok steering would be a problem for a weaker fellow but at 5,11 175 lbs im a pretty average sized guy and it was only mildly uncomfortable for me. Al in all i believe trhis car is absoloutly capable of drifting and i intend to prove so in some future pics/vids. P.s I know a few guys on here are considering going drifting in thier z's so thats the only reason i posted my experience.
  7. Double the power isnt always a good thing. Darius has over 600 HP and great suspension components wide tires the works. And he still cant get poer to the ground(soon to change) More power isnt always a good thing.
  8. yeha im a fan. the girl is a dead ringer for the co drive of the sil eighty. those arent fans, they are stalkers on thier off day.

  14. i would hammer all that baxk into blace and close it up with a brazing rod. Ive fixed several oilpans this way, seems to work great.
  15. sub 2k cars dont seem to be too rare in weekend warrior trim
  16. ive always liked that old school jap kid look. i mean Cmon? how many guys over here build old t buckets and leave them primered with rust holes and stuff. just different fads
  17. while its cool and i love the lines. Its not original, and i hate that about it. Im sure any guy on this site could name a dozen cars that car took its cues from.
  18. well i personally have ridden up to 190 on a modified yamaha r1. Mods being some mild motor and electronics work. There were no parts on the bike that werent on it stock. Your right, once you get over 130 you better have your shit together cause bikes are twitchy, expecially sportbikes. I was wearing a full suit of armor(riding gear helmet boots 1 peice suit..) and the bike had a modified riding position, and it still took all of my concentration and ability to stay within 2 feet of the line(i was on an airstrip). So 205 on the street?? i believe it can be done, but the kid mustve been an experienced rider cause it takes alot of skill to control a bike going that fast.
  19. well it was either a busa-zx10r or some custom concoction. i cant believe the cops caught him
