  1. Be careful when choosing a supplier, I ordered some one time that were designed to go over the originals and all the numbers were twisted about 1/4" from where they were supposed to be. It looked alright in the daytime, but once the lights came on, you could see the original thru the overlays. So every thing was duplicated. I ordered another kit that I liked much better, they were a heavier plastic type stuff and are lighted. With a knob you can change color from blue to green. Can't remember where I got it, 5 years ago.
  2. My headliner needs to be redone, after reading this thread I ordered a flocking kit, It was just 50.00 shipped. Less than the cost of new headliner material. For 50 bucks I'm willing to try it. If it works and looks nice, should last forever. Will post pics, when done, should be about a week or two. If it does look nice I will put some sound deadner material above the headliner, it should also help it fit better since the regular headliner material is foam backed.
  3. Need to remove trim for body work. The trim is the one that runs along top of the car and ends at the bottom corner of the rear side window. If anyone knows how to remove this,, it would be greatly apprectiated. Looked in the fsm but it did not seem to be there. thanks!
  4. If anyone has any idea where to get that front air dam, let me know. I like it more than any I have seen, kinda looks like a Subaru air dam.
  5. Maybe you can get a refund since he wasn't truthful.
  6. You shouldn't disconnect the battery, but under most most circumstances the car should still run. I'll admit that on occasion I have done the same to check if the alternator was working or not.
  7. http://cars.desktopnexus.com/wallpaper/117824/ My friend sent me this wallpaper today. Had never seen it before. Pretty sweet looking 280ZX.
  8. Finally got around to recovering the rear panel, Everyone knows how bad these get. Got the leather grain vinyl and 3m Super 77 spray adhesive at Walmart. $17.00 for 2 1/2 yards of the vinyl and about $8.00 for the adhesive. Came out pretty good, a lot nicer than what it did look like. I took about 3 days to get it done. Did the main surface area the first day and then after it had dried, the second and third day folding and trimming the vinyl to the back side. Still have most of the vinyl left, job only used about 1/2 of a yard.
  9. No input yet? I would have thought someone would know
  10. I am in the market for new some new door panels. My cars interior was originally red, I have since changed almost everything to black. Motorsport.com has black panels but it says for 82-83. Will these work on a 80 model? I can think of no differences myself. Maybe black wasn't a factory interior color in 80? It seems to be the same way for the other colors they have. Thanks for any input..
