How do you remove the knobs from the two switches on the dash that control the dash light brightness and the one that operates the rear hatch wiper? The manual shows the knobs removed from the stems but we can not see how the remove them. waskomtexas@waskomtexas.com

We recently bought a car that has been a show car. It has a V8 and was on the audio show circuit. All of the Z wiring was removed, the dash and everything under the dash. We have the original dash but would be interested in a digital dash. We have found digital instruments for the car. Would the instruments fit in our non digital dash and how is the wiring different? I just bought a real nice 82ZX with a 350 eng & trans. We are going to have to replace all of the wiring. Is there some place we can buy the wiring harness complete. I have done a lot of work on cars but this will be new to me. Where can I find out about the Painless wireing harness? On the A/C shouldn't be too hard if we use a Chev compressor and make up a hose that will adapt form the Datsun to Chev. waskomtexas@waskomtexas.com

I am planning to buy an 83 280zx that had a V8 installed a few years ago. The dash was removed along with the wiring. I plan to reinstall the dash and install an A/C so I can drive the car on the street. No A/C, the tach has never been hooked up, etc. What problems will I run into? My A/C fan motor stops blowing air after it has run for a while. I had trouble with it last summer, it worked fine through the winter and then this afternoon it quit again. Sometimes it will come back on then stop. Got any ideas? waskomtexas@waskomtexas.com

I am interested in installing an aftermarket A/C in a 240Z. How much trouble, how much cost and where to buy ? Will it use the original ducts and switches ? Benny

I have a 1982 280ZX with only 50,000 miles. I sent an e-mail to JTR, asking if the manual that they sell also covered the 1982. They never responded. Does anyone know about putting a 350 into the 1982 will work ? I have been interested in buying one of thed cars that are posted on the "for sale" pages of this list. My car is so much nicer than the older Z's that it would make a very nice conversion if it will work.
