Ok, everyone, My Precious car has been hit and I have found previous damage (about a half inch of bondo) on the rear valence... AHH!! Is there ANYONE remotely close to me (Iowa City, IA) That would be willing to sell me the rear valence off their donor car (the area between the tail lights down to the valence) OR if you have a donor car you don't really care about can I just Hack off the rear foot of the car?! (don't need/want bumper) Or if you know prices of body panels from VB or MSA please help cause I don't have time to order a catalog and the internet sites stink... THANK YOU! (Here is the Story) I get my 73' 240z, YAY! FINALLY! Then I get it home and within a week I get it broke into (nothing stolen) and rear ended, AARRRGHHHH!!! (bought it for 900 so not a HUGE problem...yet) The person who hits me, pays out of pocket but REFUSES to pay me...Only pays the shop that I goto... Well, the shop gets the car on the stand and starts drilling....and drilling, and hacking at the bondo...*cries* after they get through the bondo they try and straighten the rear valence (and support and rear floor board) by using the frame machine...tears the rear valence... ugh, so they have to take that off the fix the buckled floor and support... $$$$$$$, the girl that hit me gave me 1800 and the shop WON'T give it back to me... (even if i pay for the work already done) and it will take like another 2k to get the car (my only car) back into shape if they use the old valence area PLEASE HELP!

that looks similar to what happened when i painted something out of the paints tempature range. doesn't adhear correctly.... could be completely wrong though

where exactly can you get a copy of the movie and for how much?! I was looking online but I didn't find anything about it, just the games

personally I think it looks but ugly, and I wouldn't say much for the neon engine, mines blown up twice...have to part it out now... good news is i get to search for a Z now

Ok, I'm driving an hour to see a 240Z. Wondering if I should take some tools to check it out... Like a compression gage? or something like that? he said it burns a little oil, so i thought it would be good to check the compression. anything else I should take with me?! I know to look for rust in the Frame Rails, Floors, Hatch, Battery Tray, and Rockers, any other ideas? here is a link to pictures of the car http://12-215-46-46.client.mchsi.com:8080/240z/ Engine looks a little burnt. but who knows... don't think it matters but I'm told it's a '73 and has round tops. (plus for me!) OH! one more thing, he said he wasn't sure how good the breaks were, wondering what lines I should check. Thanks for the Help ~Matt

So I've been waiting 2 years to get a 240z ever since I was an Idiot and sold the 280z... I finally located one about an hour away from me! The Body was solid and *mostly* rust free and the engine just burned a little oil. Needed some work, but thats ok! its only 1k and I could do some work on it over the next month and get it working... (Here is Murphy's Law), I get my loan for it...yay! but on my way home from work... my car DIES! like, engine fuses and won't move....great, now I probably have to replace the engine and ****, so much for the 240....

Is there a Wangan Midnight movie too? i seem to remember hearing something about it or seeing screen shots from it...

Would be nice if someone was making engine mounts for the VG... seems to be easy to get your hands on a nice pair of RB mounts now....just a pain in the ass to get the engine....can't exactly goto the junk yard here in the states

Not to change the topic a little, but what are the differences in weight between the L28 and the RB26?

WOAH! thats amazing stony! Thats the route I'm going to be going with my Z in a few years, (not quite at mean as yours though, going to keep it to 400-500 hp MAX) 9500rpm max? damn! stock internals? or upgraded? (unfortunatly im not as familiar with RB series as i will need to be)
