I can't count how many times I have watched this video just to hear that engine.

Each of our 40 + year old cars will have different effects on the smoothness of matching the subtle z kit to them. My car for example was hit rather hard in the passenger rear and without a doubt had negative affects on the instillation of the kit. That plus I am a complete detail freak who wants magazine quality, lazer straight panels with uniform gaps, before the car is painted in a highly blemish showing Ford ingot silver. Make no mistake as it has been pointed out here timeless amounts that NO fiberglass kit out there will just bolt right on without at least some minor detailing work. If I was to do it all over again, I would buy it just as I did and go through whatever it took to achieve the look and wider body that I do so love, but that is me, a lunatic when it comes to achieving the vision I have for my build. I might have gone with the YZ rears however, but am WAY too far into rear spoiler body blending for that now. All in all, the kit is nice and expect to have some work with applying it.

I had one as well.

Instead of working this weekend, like a good boy, I neglected my car duties and made a 10' tall snowman. The snow was perfect. We are expecting feet of snow this week, so that should make it look like he's been there for ages.
I still need to fashion him some arms, but here he is keeping watch over the road.
Meet SnowmAndy
Oh come on now, just some arms? We have become accustomed to anything and everything carbon fiber, so arms, a top hat, nose and eyes in carbon are a minimum!!!
Loving all the progress !!!

Dig through some of the threads in the Toyota L6 forum section for more info as it has a lot of it.
Here is a thread on mounts:
http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/121940-1jz-gte-swap-kit-tech2/
I am happy with the quality of the Tech 2 mount kit, and am very pleased to have gotten lucky and snagged it for a bargain price.
One more thread for motivation on getting the swap done:

As far as exhaust manifolds specifically designed for an S30 2jz swap, I can only think of Tech 2 Motorsports has it covered as well as intercooler, radiator, etc. However, if you are a visual person such as myself, good luck trying to get a look at their product offerings as they have had pictures missing on their website for well over a year now. I even mentioned it to Carlos there, but nothing has been done to fix it. Not the best way to approach new potential customers who just want to see the product before committing to purchase. Some pics I managed to dig up on their shop car.

All I did was google and research the company, I called each one that peaked my interest and asked questions. If your satisfied with how they answered your questions check for reviews on them. Just don't jump into buying the first thing you see. As far as everyone else I'm not to sure but a quick google search pulls up a lot of results on venders.
I approached it in the same fashion. I picked up my 2JZ from JDM engines of La Habra, CA. I had them remove and discard the auto trans as it saved me the time and space and no one ever wants them. I am very happy with their service and the engine came out in great shape. I do not have the single exhaust manifold or turbo just yet, but am constantly looking at options for when the time comes to purchase.
I went with the Wiring Specialties custom harness which custom tailors the harness with all new material for your exact engine needs, as well as bought the Haltec computer from them. Very happy with their services.

I am jealous as here in the over rated and hyped land of San Diego the current average is $3.02 for regular. In Laurel Maryland , 1.79 $

Looks like you have a good shell to start with and only some minor metal work to attend to. Though as mentioned, you will have a lot of work to do, you are miles ahead when it comes to the chassis strengthening stage. By that I mean you have the car stripped already and free of nice paint, which I have seen with some people be the detracting reason as to why they never fortified their cars for the more powerful engine swaps. Document your build as you progress with it. Lastly, $1.89 for regular, Holy crap, it must be nice!!

A pair of fiberglass fenders on the local Craigslist.

Man that looks good Z-Ya. Your making me rethink my rear subtle z's and just after I went and bonded them on already. More rear tire is always a plus.

I just dug through your whole build here again and absolutely love this car. Just wanted your feedback on the inter cooler and radiator you purchased from Pro Alloy. They appear to be a top notch outfit with quality custom parts. I am shooting for very similar power figures from my 2jzgte swap and that inter cooler looks ideal.

Made it myself, Only 50 litres as I wanted to run twin exhaust for the GTO and we have very tough noise/emission laws down here requiring big mufflers, etc. which restricted the width.
Very nicely done! I really like the fill method from behind the plate.

Why not run an in-tank pump? Does away with all those nasty lines just waiting to be ripped off or punctured. I have the filler behind the number-plate.
Wondering what cell this is you are running, gallons and if you have any more pics.

Thank you guys with the Mcmaster heads up, as well as the Ace info.

Yes, We must have a new update!

Great updates, love to see the forward motion with all you have going on. I am curious as to the shorter bolts you used, as were they sourced locally or did you order them from somewhere as I am in the same boat with the same set up.

I am waiting to install the q45 diff back in the car after the first of the year.
Which Q45 of the two diff's you mentioned ?

Last year we had a z show local here in San Diego and I spoke with I believe Greg Childs owner of Z Power Steering and had a chance to sit in the demo car while idling and crank the wheel back and forth. I was impressed enough just from that easy motion back and forth but am also looking forward to a more in depth review when you guys get the time.

TimO,
Love your setup and car!!

I have them (TE37s) on my ride. It took 4 months to get and was $3800.00 17x9 in front and 17x11 in rear. I don't recall the exact offset we went with. Beautiful lite wheels though.
I must see these, please attach a pic or two here. What size and make of tire are you running in the front?

As I mentioned, I sprayed this into every nook, cranny or pocket I could get the nozzle into including the roof area from the hatch hinge pockets. I tried to eliminate every accessible bit of rust on my car with the exception of dipping the car.
