  1. This all depends on funding as I have little to none so the semi big dollar cars I lust for would most likely be out of the picture. Semi expensive, pipe dream and lust worthy cars for me would be Jaguar F type R or SVR, Lotus Evora 400, Alfa Romeo 4C and Porsche 911. More realistic options would first be the BRZ / FRS with a turbo setup, (Crawford Performance is not far away from me), build an 818C from Factory 5 or lastly highly modify an old Porsche 914 with eitherPorsche 3.something engine/subaru wrx/ LS2 swap. Unfortunately California smog laws would have a major impact on modifying a newer than '75 car.

  2. I will be using a weld on setup when the time comes for my 2jz and not sure if I will have my go to fab guy help with this or just get one of the kits available.

    From Power House Racing:

"Anyone building a high horsepower/high boost 2JZGTE engine has to consider the effects of crankcase pressure at these levels. With the standard PCV valve (only 7mm) the engine simply is not able to remove pressure fast enough from the crankcase while under boost. The PHR Race Engine Breather Kit solves this problem, by increasing the venting area by over 200%. By removing crankcase pressure, you increase engine efficiency and therefore increase horsepower.

Anyone who has ever put together 12AN lines and fittings can tell you how costly something like this is to put together. This is not merely an “oil catch can” but rather a complete engine breathing system for big boost/big HP engines. Stock or mildly modified engines can also benefit from this setup, but only slightly. You must remove the OEM charcoal canister in order to install the breather tank on the passenger side of the engine bay"

    And the Titan Motorsports offerings:

"An oil catch can collects the oil, moisture, and blow-by gas that causes carbon and sludge build-up in the intake system and engine, and helps to keep it clean even under the hardest driving conditions. This oil catch tank is also an excellent engine dress up item as well"

  3. I highly recommend Bob Rector in Jamul CA. He is an older fellow who has been blasting/ paint stripping the majority of his life and a true hot rodder/ Bonneville Salt Flats racer. He did my car 4/5 years back at a very reasonable rate. I had a hard drive with all my old pics go bad so no access to them now, but I still have a few pictures in my build thread post #18 here.

  4. Yes, those are the ones I bought from Rare Spares awhile back. I have since sold them to another member as I was planning on using some repro Porsche 993 aero mirrors, but have been reevaluating the whole door mirror options lately. I am having a hard time trying to balance form and function. I love the original chrome style but no passenger side exists and using the drivers side on the pass side does not line up the field of vision well. The bullets look fantastic, but too many here have mentioned they offer little visibility and have a tendency to vibrate. I have considered the stock MK4 Toyota Supra mirrors that are larger since my car is flared. The company that makes the 993 aero mirrors also makes a door sill mounted Ruf version that looks interesting. I feel from a visual stand point door mirrors on these cars should not be too large and overpowering, but at the same time not solely based on looks and a small footprint at the sacrifice of functionality. I live in a highly condensed and populated area and commute amongst  a lot of traffic and want to have full visibility of the clowns I have to share the road with. Most likely will stick with the 993 aero mirrors unless they end up sticking out like Dumbo ears.

Here are some pics showing all the mirrors mentioned, (Bare metal Rare Spares, Green/black Supra, White 993 and red Ruf Porsche).
