  1. Who all is going to head out this Wednesday? Ill be there for sure this time!
  2. its on ratsun, hybridz, nicoclub, zilvia, my350z. I told him i would help him with the forums that i am listed on and that i actually frequent. The rest was up to him.
  3. I've been sick for the past few days and actually had to stay home today, so I won't be showing up tonight. Should still be a good turnout. I'll mention the flyers to my buddy who is organizing all this. Thanks!
  4. In the rear we will be running the BAMF flares which are 1 3/8" wider than regular ZGs and with 18x9.5 with +15 offset and a 265 tire our rear track is sitting at just about 70". In the rear we are using all Battle Version adjustable links thanks to Alex Pfeiffer. On the coilovers in the rear we are using stock s30 top hats and in the front we are using a Corolla AE86 Camber Plate/Monoball setup that we custom fitted to the strut towers. We are using stock 240z crossmember with S13 Circuit Sports adjustable lower control arms and reverse mounted S13 spindles. We have tons of negative camber in the front now which may be too much. New pics will be posted up by tomorrow night of the front stance as it sits right now.
  5. This is the first week of the meet so we are hoping for a big turnout. Here is the address: 28171 Marguerite Parkway Mission Viejo, CA 92692
  6. Starting next wednesday on 1-13-10 we will be having a weekly car meet in the Surfin Souvlaki parking lot across from Saddleback College. Here is the event flyer:
  7. The s13 subframe swap definitely was not the most exciting thing to fabricate into the car. I will get more detailed pictures of the install once i get them off my moms new nikon she has been learning to use. Thanks for the comments guys.
  8. More pics will be taken once i get all the adjustable links and the front and rear knuckles cleaned and painted. I cant wait to get all the new goodies
  9. Another update on the 240z this week! The s13 suspension conversion has been completed, check out the entire post at: http://www.drftmytail.com but here is a little sneak preview for you guys.
  10. I'm gonna have to get one of the new panda shirts for sure
  11. He has updated the site and took most all your feedback into account, check it out again and please feel free to comment. There is a new Z shirt on there as well as a few others; he also decided to offer much more colors. The new URL is: http://www.jdmthreads.com (currently re-directs to jdmftw.com for the meantime)
  12. Aside from basically completely tearing apart the 240z we now want to re-do some things for better selection of wheels and aftermarket parts so we are swapping to mostly all S13 suspension/brake setup. The 350z I am waiting on my FRP body parts to get here.... Please read the entire post I just put up on http://www.drftmytail.com Thanks for all your support and thanks to Gruppe-S/Dynamic Autosports!
  13. Thank you to everyone who actually contributed to the criticism. I will be forwarding the replies to my friend so he can progress from there.
  14. No problem on the negativity, I'm just helping him get feedback to make his shirt designs or layout even better.
  15. I posted on my blog about my friends new site he just put up and were just getting him some feedback on what to change or what us car guys would like to see. Check it out and post back: http://www.jdmftw.com
  16. Well the man behind my blog site is Joey Todaro who has been a friend of mine since we were in high school. He does all the graphic design, logo work, and upkeep with the blog as far as the look and function of it. I made a new post about his site http://www.jdmftw.com on my blog which you can check out the full post at: http://www.drftmytail.com
  17. Well finally got some of our parts in that we have been waiting for, WHEELS!!!!!!!!! Check out the full post over at http://www.drftmytail.com (Redirects to http://www.alexvillabrille.com)
  18. The drift cars that are competing in Formula D and have a hydraulic handbrake setup I have seen with 2 rear caliper sets. You do not want to hinder the foot brake while you are yanking on the handbrake. The pedal will feel just mushy.
  19. This 350z never had the brembo calipers so what i am doing is a decent upgrade We will be running 2 sets of rear calipers though, one for the foot brake and the other set for the hydraulic hand brake setup.
  20. I know I haven’t lived up to my word in supplying updates for this build but we have been hard at work trust me! UPDATED!!!!!!!!!!! The entire blog post can be viewed at http://www.alexvillabrille.com Here is a preview: “…KA24 510 tuned but ended up blowing the motor due to tuner error :/ We brought the car back, pulled the KA24 and swapped in an SR20det instead…†“…new brakes for the 350z track car (Wilwood 6-piston front and 4-piston rear), new front windshield installed, as well as painting the roof…â€
  21. The stock location on the crossmember will place the motor really far forward. With both our mount set and McKinneys setup it allows you to place the motor as far back as you want and also lower. Our cradle utilizes the factory datsun engine mounts where McKinneys uses their own puck style urethane mounts.
  22. Chet at Galek Motorsports came through with the ETB Instruments DigiDash 2 Lite. It finally arrived today after such a long time in deciding what we were going to do with the central gauge setup. We will have it installed and wired as soon as the rest of the sensors come in the mail and get some new lit up pictures! Dont forget that if you go to the blog page you can view the pictures in full size when you click on them. http://www.AlexVillabrille.com
  23. You're not wrong but with the way that they designed the intake manifold we would have had to go off and make a custom intake manifold in order to set the engine further back against the firewall like we did with the SR. Plus the cost of building the VQ and force inducting it as well.
  24. We are trying to have continuous updates and progress on the car while still working on customer cars during the day. These past two days I have been doing routine service and prepping cars for swaps while my dad started to work on the dash center panel. He found some carbon sheet lying around the shop and got to fitting it into where the old navigation and Bose stereo used to be. The gauges fitted into the pod are temporary for fitment purposes only. Check it out: http://www.AlexVillabrille.com If you go to the blog page you can click on all the pictures to view them in full size.
