  1. I heard the r200 version comes from the skyline as stated above, but the R180 4.375 is from a Datsun 720 4x4 front differential.
  2. he is running an electromotive tec 3 engine management which has the coils seperate from the plugs
  3. We are running the GT3076R and peak power is right at our redline at 7800rpm and are still running the hydraulic head but with Tomei Cams and rocker arm stoppers. If we could rev to 9000rpm we would potentially see more power and at 26psi. I think a GT35 would work pretty well if you have the other supporting mods and are reving to 9k as well.
  4. stock sr20dets from japan redline is set at 7500rpm. we are reving our 510whp sr20det to 7800rpm with stock hydraulic lifters and no issues whatsoever
  5. No problem at all. Post some pics of the finished product!!
  6. Nope its this: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MSD%2D8913&N=700+115&autoview=sku Actually the one you listed will work too, but we always use the part i posted from summit
  7. If you are running stock ecu and coil packs you need to get an MSD Distributorless tach adapter
  8. get the throttle cable from any DOHC nissan 240sx, it will be long enough for the current intake manifold and still be long enough for when you switch to a greddy intake manifold
  9. We did a 2jz swap into an S13 that had brought the conversion parts and wiring harness from 2jzswap.com and the wiring was completely hacked and missing an entire plug. We pretty much had to do most the wiring over again... definitely not worth it.
  10. Just make sure to take it easy in the beginning so the clutch gets a proper break-in... Pics of burn-outs and videos of you launching the hell out of the car would be awesome but just wait
  11. I installed an F1 6puck Clutch on a turbo civic about 6 months ago and the kid driving the car really likes it. Grabs really quick and no complaints of slip or anything to date and he really beats on the car.
  12. Good to hear this project is starting, post up pictures whenever you can!
  13. soreal, if you want to see the kind of work we do, give us a call and drop by since you are local. Were in mission viejo which is only about 10-15 minutes from where you are in lake forest. alex
  14. greenmonster, i would look into getting the summit hard lines if you do not want to run steel braided all the way from the back to the fuel rail. We are running a few 240s with fuel cells and the summit hardlines as well as others running stock fuel tank and lines but with a surge tank and no issues with fuel starvation on either setup.
  15. Very straight forward, there is only two wires coming off the speedo sensor on the SR and then you just follow the directions from the Autometer gauge.
  16. 1. Any electronic speedometer from Autometer will be perfectly fine. 2. On our personal car we are running a 25x12x4 V-mount setup with 3" piping, but customer cars run a 25x12x3 all day long with 2.5" piping 3. No issues with any aftermarket shifters, from no-name brand B&M style to the C's style short shifters as well.
  17. No problems at all. We have it running on all cars that are a basically stock swap.
  18. We run the walbro GSL392 inline 255 pump on all our sr20 swaps as well as RB swaps. You should be fine with no problem at all.
  19. The sr20det gearbox would be much a lot less work and hassle since it already fits the block and it really isn't difficult to make a new trans mount when you have to make new motor mounts anyway. I would not bother at all with a 280zx gearbox behind an sr20det.
  20. The fairlady s30 belongs to Kelvin Hiraishi and the 510 was his as well but now belongs to his brother. We are currently installing all new suspension and brakes on the 510. It was running a dual tilton master cylinder setup and the owner didnt like the pedal feel so we are going to Wilwood brakes all around with a datsun b210 booster and ZX master cylinder.
  21. Q, you dont epoxy the brackets onto the hood. The hood itself has the mounting holes for you to install the brackets once you make them...
  22. by any chance does anybody know where to get that lower front lip on the bottom of his air dam? Or Joel, if you know where you can get it let me know please. Thanks in advance...
  23. The hood we have on the silver z is actually from Classic Datsun's first batch of full Carbon hoods when they first started coming out.
  24. >>>> Austin bought the hood through me which i had RACEONUSA make the mold from a stock 240z hood. They are the sole distributors of the hood and i no longer stock them because they moved much farther away from our shop for me to pick up when i need hoods. It is a complete fiberglass hood with a layer of CF on the top.
