  1. Haha. I think only certain styles of cars can pull off that kind of orange and a retro sports car like the Z is certainly one of them!
  2. I just see one picture with some very nice looking, yet very small Z's
  3. That is very true, never thought of it like that. You're saying stretching the tire is in a sense decreasing the aspect ratio by bringing the tread of the tire closer to the wheel? Makes sense to me, still not 100% sure if that's true or how much it would effect the speedo. Best way to find out is to go through radar traps or use a GPS and compare speeds, then you can just do the <5MPH or whatever calculation in your head.
  4. Good to hear that this was a relative "freak" thing.
  5. Looks fantastic, keep up the good work and the updates!!
  6. The Miata tire size link in this thread will give you the %-off for speedo readings
  7. Okay this is a huge coincidence. This is your car This is my car: I've got an '88 MR2 Supercharged with Kosei K1's :lol: Anyways, in a few months if these are still for sale I'd love to pick them up off of you.
  8. ^There's something reallllllll fishy about that post right above me....
  9. I don't think so. Check out http://www.tyrestretch.com though fore an idea of where the tire will be in relation to the wheel (if your're thinking of a moderate to major stretch)
  10. Yup, I was going to post this one. Also, I use this one all the time to figure out wheel offsets, backspacing, clearances, etc.: http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12
  11. The 2JZ is a spectacular motor, I would certainly keep the Lexus as a DD. I currently have an older DD ('88 MR2 Supercharged), even with heat/ac, leather, a decent iPod stereo and a quiet exhaust it's still not the same as my '05 Altima SER was. So much more car around you, a lot quieter, and my Altima was just amazing to cruise around in on the highway. Your Lexus has all the amenities of my Altima and then some... and then 400+ hp more haha. Lexus>>>510 for a DD
  12. these are fantastic numbers!! keep us posted with mods, please
  13. That's a decent price, I'm in the middle of restoring a set of 16x7 +24/16x8 +24 BBS RS's that were originally off of a 280Z (emailed BBS USA and gave them the wheel codes 'caus I was curious . They are obviously 4x114.3 but have a 4x100 pattern drilled in them, too. They'll be going on my '88 MR2, but I plan on selling that soon and picking up a 240Z soon. Here's a few pics of them for anyone interested, they're simply beautiful wheels, definitely my favorite old school wheels of all time: centers still need paint: fitment on the rear of my MR2 :icon6::icon6:
