  1. Add a turbo manifold with the turbo outlet ported to the list of things for sale. I also discovered that what I thought was a blown exhaust gasket is in fact a blown head gasket. I found a little chunk of hg material hanging out from between the head and block when I took the manifolds off. What's weird is that cylinder was still firing... because when i took the power off that injector, the rpm would drop and it would start sounding more like it was missing.
  2. they are genuine jdm glass... it also has a genuine 180sx rear garnish. Those are also for sale if you are interested.
  3. I've gotten a lot of PM's asking about prices, so I thought I'd post what I'm thinking for each... .040 over stock long block - $500 N42 Non-webbed, Non-EGR Intake - $80 S13 60mm tb - $25 T3/T04E 60 trim turbo w/ internal wg and coated exhaust side - $450 MSD 6AL with Tach adapter - $100 8mm MSD plug wires $ 30 Megasquirt ECU w/ Relay board - $125 Palnet fuel rail - $80 3" aluminum piping - $30 Bunch of 3" couplers - $40 Bunch of 3" stainless T-bolt clamps - $40 Greddy type-S bov - $125 KA24 trans w/ L28 bell housing - $FREE XTD 6 puck copper-ceramic clutch w/ hd pp - $40 240mm flywheel - $60 All the pictures I have of the setup are here: http://www.putfile.com/phyxius1/images/34206
  4. injectors and intercooler have been sold.
  5. I have an already front-sump modified engine for sale in the "another how much is it worth" thread in this forum...
  6. It looks like I forgot to mention that this setup is the one from my 240SX not a z car. That means, the ic piping most likely won't fit in a z car, and the oil pan sump and pickup are at the front of the motor now. To put thismotor in a z car, you would need to get a rear sump pan with a fitting for the turbo return oil and pickup for a rear sump pan.
  7. bump... i still have all this stuff for sale. I'm about to start taking it apart, since i can't seem to sell it as a whole. Let me know what you want Injectors have been sold.
  8. I've actually decided to sell this for sure now, and I've relocated it to Wichita, KS. If you know anyone in the area that may be interested, please let them know! I would rather sell it as a whole than part it out, but I will consider parting it out if enough of the parts are seriously claimed before I start disassembly. :EDIT: Also, I did a compression check recently. This was on a cold engine, so the rings weren't seated. The numbers would probably be a little higher especially on the ones below 150. They were (1 to 6): 150, 150, 150, 140, 150, 145. Service manual says 145 is max and 100 is minimum. It has always read a little high since rebuilt... Probably due to a slight compression increase. (7.4:1 is stock. probably around 7.6:1 with bigger pistons and the head being decked.)
  9. Pallnet used a r32 crossmember and said it pretty much bolted right in with the stock L28 mounts. I already have the motor in the car on the KA crossmember. I'm not satisfied with my current mounts, so I'm looking to make it a little cleaner and safer. I've been driving it around for a while, and my mounts let the motor move too much which causes all sorts of problems with the IC piping and downpipe hitting things they shouldn't.
  10. Now I'm really confused... this is going in a s13, so I already have all the s13 suspension. Were you thinking i said 240z?
  11. I'm just getting the part that bolts to the frame and the engine bolts to... I probably wasn't clear enough in what I was asking for. I wasn't entirely sure what to call JUST that piece. I'd really like a manual rack to put on it. I have no room for a PS pump so I've been using the ps rack in manual mode.
  12. I would make them, but i don't have access to the stuff I would need to do it. I found one at jhot auto for $50 plus shipping which doesn't sound half bad.
  13. I'm sure the other s chassis stuff would bolt in, but I don't know if the motor mounts would be in the right spot. The r32 one has them 4-5" farther forward than the stock KA one and that's what I need.
  14. I'm not sure if they will work or not. Actually, I'm not even sure what you are talking about... lol. By S chassis, are you talking about the silvia/180sx? They didn't come with rb's right? Pallnet used a r32 one in his install, and it worked out. So, that's why I am trying to get one of those. I was hoping that someone bought a front clip and had no need for the x-member...
  15. I am in need of a r32 x-member for my 240sx/L28 setup. Let me know if you have one you are willing to part with.

    Clutches...

So has anyone used my clutches and taken the diff down to see how they are holding up? I'd really be interested in seeing some pictures.
  17. I would except that I'm in Kansas and my car is in Mississippi. I won't have a chance to disassemble it.
  18. I'm considering selling my L28 setup, and I'm trying to get a feel for what I can get. Any help would be appreciated. It all has about 30k miles except the trans... which has more like 250k miles, but still works fine. I'll list everything included below. .040 over stock long block N42 Intake S13 60mm tb T3/T04E 60 trim turbo w/ internal wg and coated exhaust side MSD 6AL 8mm MSD plug wires Megasquirt ECU w/ Relay board 460cc injectors Palnet fuel rail Big ebay fmic 3" aluminum piping Greddy type-S bov KA24 trans w/ L28 bell housing XTD 6 puck copper-ceramic clutch w/ hd pp 240mm flywheel That is all I can think of at the moment. What do you guys think?

    Clutches...

Okay guys... I think it is time for me to give a little back to the Z community, so here goes: I've been getting regular PM's about my clutches. I don't really have time to have any more made, so I'm going to just post the drawing. There are no dimensions on the drawing, but it is to scale, and any laser-cutter equiped shop can cut clutches from the file. I highly discourage trying to cut this on a cnc mill... due to the hardness of the metal. All I ask is that if you use this to do a group buy or make your own clutches, consider sending a few dollars my way via paypal... you can pm me for the address. This is the friction disk file: http://putstuff.putfile.com/79300/8044996 Also, I made a friction plate file, but never tested it: http://putstuff.putfile.com/79301/5374745 they are both in autocad dxf format which is pretty universal.
