  1. Curious on the cage why you cut the diagonal bar and kept the harness bar solid?
  2. Sorry to see the bad luck. If you get desperate and want to do a contracted payment plan, we can talk numbers. You have my info.
  3. Not sure what I'll do or ask for it yet. May just keep it. I've put a lot of elbow grease into this one. Mods: Stop tech big brake kit Tein flex coilovers Spl solid subframe bushings Full custom handmade NASA/scca spec cage (1.75 Dom) Sr20 swap (needs a head job) Sparco pro adv seat, Paint is Aston Martin alms team brg and the list goes on. I have too much $ into it to not call it a wash. Not trying to clutter your thread sorry
  4. I am a Bride Dealer, you should have told me you were looking. Car is looking great. Remember that when you are ready to sell, you are contracted to call me first Not to get your thread too off topic, but here is what I have built while you have been doing this one. I just lost the head gasket and possibly the head, but I am thinking I will end up trading/ selling it and getting another Z. I am done racing for a while. Took it from this: To This:
  5. Ok we can trade. Mine is a 240 too, and I will be at the 20k mark once the cage goes in at the end of the month/ mid December completion.
  6. Looks awesome so far. What was the reason behind the choice of gauges? Also are you going to get rid of the R34 Gauges?
  7. I will inspire and make the donation, but that comes with part ownership You are almost done with the core stuff, just wrap it up and enjoy it! Looks great btw! Just how I would have done it had I continued.
  8. Thanks for the info. The guy with this car wont ship it, so now I am flying out to drive it back this weekend. Anyway, what is next? wheels? cage? ...? I actually like the airdam black and unpainted more than the ones that match. Looks way more aggressive.
  9. Looking good. Let me be the first to congratulate you! Also please remember I am first in line for purchasing the car when/ if that day ever comes! Quick question, who did you have ship the car? I am needing to ship a car.
  10. ^Stock. The Stock L28 from the 280z.
  11. Hey guys I am actually over from the RBZ forum, but have recently been looking into a L28 swapped 73 Z. I am wondering how happy everyone is with the power increase and build ability of the L28? Any ideas on price ranges for the L28 swapped Z's around?
  12. Wow Fast Progress. I better start saving now so I can afford to be first in line buying the car back when you are ready for a new project. As for me, Building a MINI Cup car to race here at miller motorsports park.
  13. PS if you ever sell, I have first dibs. just throwing that claim out there.
  14. ^yep I did about as much of the swap as I was capable of doing, and got sick of never having other available resources. Loved the car and the idea, but I got it as far as I could, and even paying money couldn't get it worked on. Basically I got bored of it and couldnt see putting more money into it to just sit. I guess that is the long and short of why I sold it.
  15. Oh I decided to send it to my consultant to decide Boosted bought it
  16. I am thinking that the v's are going to be the choice as well. Now to get this thing running. The shop doing the wiring is taking years and im getting a bit restless.
  17. Mack at Mckinney shipped me out the new trans mount this week. Arrived today and looks amazing when compared to the other. Car is getting wired right now, but I will go to the shop tomorrow to check for fitment. This gets me excited again. ^I now have my mount so I will re fit things and let you know where I am at. Thanks again!
  18. Not sure. Either that or they told me the wrong direction for the motor mounts? haha
  19. Anyone know if the driveline distance is the same regardless of which rear end you put in? I would assume that since everyone says they use the same mounting points etc it would be the same distance?
  20. ^Thanks Pat, let me look at it a bit more before I waste any of your time. I will let you know soon! thanks! I want to make sure this isnt another mckinney issue. You have been good to me
  21. Newest issue: Not sure if the engine mounts are on the correct sides as I can't get my pan to clear the cross member. So either issues with the pan, or more with the mounts.
  22. Well no time to wait on the mount. I will bring it to the shop soon. Here is my truck pulling the car to its doom! She is going to begin her wiring tomorrow. I will try to find the rest of the parts I need as I go.
