  1. I was reading something about iats failing from vibration when mounted on the manifold, on the ms site. Are all the sensors the same or are there higher quality made ones. I also see a air charge temp sensor that looks like a coolant sensor with a hole on the side, where the iat has a cage and its 10 bucks cheaper. I wonder which i should pick up.
  2. So i asked the question about the CA18et and CA18det. So what are the major differences between the Twin cam CA we can get in the US and the turbo version. Would it be possible just to lower the compression on a non turbo dohc engine and snag Parts from the turbo sohc Ca and make a CA18det. Are the internals far weaker in the CA18de? We did get a ca18de in a NX didnt we?

I read over at the s12 site that it would fit but by the time u bought all the sensors and ecu and all the other crap you would need it would probaly have been cheaper just to get the whole thing. Still a viable option for me since the only parts that would be fairly hard to get would be on the head. I just would hate to get a engine that i would have to order parts from overseas.
  4. I wonder why a rear wheel drive car like this is liked so little. Corollas are hot but a 200sx that looks like it is not. I think there decent lookin cars. I dont know why they dont have a big following like the corolla. I dont think it would make much of a difference if the sohc was a sideflow and the dohc was crossflow if the blocks are the same. Thats what im really wondering is the block itself the same. I was thinking it would be cheaper just to find the dohc head and the manifolds and whatever other parts i would need and put them on a sohc block.
  5. Hi guys I was wondering is the single cam Ca basically the same engine as the dohc version. I see a ton of 200sx turbos in the junk yards, Is it possible to put on a dohc head on the single cam version. I was also wondering why do i see so many 200sx turbo cars in the yards. There must be a flaw with the engine since the cars have straight bodies (blown head gaskets??). I always like considering engines that have ample parts available and that are dirt cheap. I dont think i would run the single cam version in my Z it would probaly be a step backwards.
  6. I found one after searching for a while. A little bit bigger than 11/16 its .7" But that should make a difference.
  7. I need to get more throw. The 5/8 master and the 11/16 slave arent giving me enough throw. I can just barely get it into gear at the bottom of the pedal stroke. So i was thinking if i can get the master and slave at equal bores it may give me close to what i want. I dont want to go to big with the master or to small with the slave. Any ideas of a good combo that wont make the pedel rock solid? Im using the adjustable slave right now, i kinda wanted to keep the adjuster. Thanks
  8. Thats wierd i managed to install the 240z cover with no problems. I stayed away from the 240sx because counter shaft pocket, but it probaly wont make a difference i dont think itll move, at least it doesnt seem to move when i had it apart. I got my tranny working ,it feels good. Im just working out some engagement problems i had before i installed it.
