    Yea same with Sabaru I've herd....... I can't take a chance on loosing insurance or what not.... or wrecking the car and them telling me well part x failed b/c you raced the car, so we are letting the person you hit sue you with no insurace protection..... or what ever

    You have nice heads, the cam isn't that big and what is the compression? If you really want to be fast, it isn't going to be that streetable, you just have to have your priorities. I'm going to guess that if that's a 350, your around 400ish FWHP and about 300rwhp.

     

     

    That sounds about right, its streetable.... I belive my compression last check is around 10.4:1 or so... its fast enough to keep up with 90% of Domestics and Imports so i am happy... I have come to the realization its not a Ferrari.

     

    Once i get all my stuff put on at beta motorsports Ill be rocking the autocross tracks...

     

    LoL John C is selling me parts and building my Kryptonite...... John seriously no more scary RX-8 stuff

    My cars have all been named...

    My first car was a White 86 300zx named Zero

    2nd car was a honda Hybrid Civic named FelFrosh (OMG I OWNED RICE)

    3rd 84 Red and Black 300zx Turbo named Hilda (wrecked)

    4th 84 Black with Full Kaminari Project Car, named Beast (was going to SBC it first)

    5th Cream Volvo 240DL, named Vicky (wanted to JTR kit that bad boy wrecked it tho)

    6th White 72 Datsun 240z Bone stock Automatic, Zelda (Wrecked)

    7th Yellow 74 260z LS1 Brenda (Wrecked at a drift event nearly a year ago now)

    8th Orange 72 Datsun 240z SBC swap, Trixie

    9th Oxidized Blue 73 VW Bug, Betty (Daily Driver and car for drive to the parts store when the 240 is on blocks....)

    Since i got in the military I've upgraded my SBC a lot....

    AFR 195cc Street Heads

    Hydraulic roller with 0.509 inch intake / 0.528 inch exhaust lift and 222 degree intake / 230 degree exhaust duration at 0.050 tappet lift

    FelPro 1010 Head Gasket (0.039")

    Edelbrock Victor Jr. single plane intake manifold

    Holley Blue Fuel Pump

    Mallory Magneto Ignition system

    that's the major things off the top of my head right now...

    as for loss of power It might be, I stopped using octane booster..but I don't know it still a very quick car around, i think i would notice any significant power loss. For Christs sake its an Pink Motor.... (www.edpink.com) As for was it an Rx-8.... I am sure it was an RX-8.. no other production car is that ugly (except the Aztec)......

     

    So i guess Lesson learned? I am not the Fastest thing on 4 wheels, there will always be a guy who has more money, more time, and more power then me, and i need to grow up and deal with it and stop racing the rice....

     

    (just a side note.... the reason i don't take it to the track is, my insurance will be cancelled if they find out its a "race car", according to my agent if they can prove its been raced on a track, then they wont insure it b/c their insurance dose not cover race cars... or something like that... scream BS all you want I've got a butt load of money into my car, and would like to keep my car insurance :P )

    Rolled Up on a BRAND NEW with paper plates RX-8.... though he was a total ricer, Kid didn't look more then 20-21, Nice wheels, some light body kit, he rev'd on me (i though it was a lawn mower at first), i humoured him and gave it a big rev on the small block, he kept looking over and made it seem like he was trying not to laugh.... kinda pissed me off but i knew i was going to stomp him when the light turned. Instead he kept up with me and by the time we hit the freeway on ramp I was in 3rd next thing i know the Rx-8 takes off, I dumped it into 4th and just cried as the RX-8 Pulled away at 110+....

     

    Is there some new Turbo kit for the them? (I didn't hear the turbo whine, or tell tail BOV sounds) Better Factory Set up? something i missed with the Mazda Crowd? or did this kid have money to burn on the most bad asses sleeper I've seen in a long time? (god paper plates = Good Sleeper Potential)

    Adrenaline rushes are far more addictive then Cancer cookies... and i get mine at $3.00/gal.....

     

     

    When i Quit (I only smoked for 5 years shh) I would go drive every time i craved really bad.....

     

    and got addicted to Bazooka Joe.... I am now a pack a day chewer >_>

    I have a ton of the Q racers If you find a S30 Body, but i think the ones i had where Radio controlled...... For the life of me i cant rember the name od the series, maybe they where made my tomika..... grrrr i bought the Initial D set like 4 years back at anime expo..... let me know if you find any S30 bodies for wait not those are Bit char G..... They stilll kick ass!!!! I had a Z32 and a R33 and R34 for mine.....
