  1. It would be much nicer...but would also be a bitch to make.........if not impossible to stamp at a reasonable expense! Perhaps composite would work better.

     

    Amazing! I'll take one for sure. I do think the headlight buckets would look better integrated into the fenders though.

    Think of it this way:

     

    A high horsepower, normally aspirated engine is like an Italian mistress: Extremely exciting, high strung, tempermental, erotic, and something you have we dreams about. But she's not something you can live with for any length of time.

     

    A high horsepower turbo engine is like a German mistress: Reliable, predictable, very skilled, comfortable, strong as an ox, and something you can live with forever. But she isn't the something that gives you wet dreams.

Be careful with those blitz units...they are very good but typicaly tuned for the GTR 440cc injector upgrade and cannot be retuned without a chip burn...I have one 4 sale:mrgreen: I dont have personal experience withe AEM or motec as I run a Power FC. I love the FC and am hooking up a FC boost controler shortly. The power FC integrates the boost controler so I can monitor and control boost via the hand controler or laptop.

     

    As far as injector sizes..all depends on anticipated power output. Many run the GTR 440cc injectors ....I have a set for sale:mrgreen::mrgreen: ....and find them more than enough , unless you are going huge power and perhaps drifting and drag racing all the time the 700cc units a probably WAY over kill. I run SARD 550s and the FC tells me that Im not even close to reaching their 550cc capacity..NOT EVEN CLOSE!

     

    Why Sard 550s......because I got a great deal and didnt want to deal with cleaning and matching GTR injectors. I bought the Blitz ECU and GTR injectors before I realy knew what I wanted to do...:confused:...and before I discovered Greddy FC.

     

    Your set up is simiar to mine., except I run a RB25 turbo..well done.

     

    What is the max boost levels with the Turbo T70 Stage III? I will probably upgrade my turbo next year as the RB25 unit handles no more than 12psi. After that the ceramic turbine goes KAPOOEY! It is BB?

  5. You should keep a vent hose on your tank and its best NOT to run it to atmosphere. The box will collect excess vapors condense them and drain back to the tank. Some of course will escape as one of the lines off the vapor box goes outside.

     

    Allow the tank breath......imagine if it was a sealed box and you pumped out all the fuel...or conversly....what happens to that plastic gas can when you leave it out in the sun.

     

    The vapor box is a light weight and simple component of your car that allow this to happen.......While reducing atmoshperic emissions.

  6. Unless the house is spider proof I would be torching them righ now! It wont make any difference to this critter if it bits you or the kid inside or outside.

     

    They are not natural to this side of the world and such need to be managed. Introduced species typicaly do more harm than good.....and as you say, "they seem to be everywhere". Sounds like a problem getting worse.

     

    Get em now! At least nuke the nests to slow their spread.

     

    On a less serious note...all I can picture right now is that movie...Arachnaphobia :)

  7. I hear ya....been there done that! A middle of the night drive down the street and back...just to make sure the "maiden voyage" goes well. LOL!

     

    I'll tell you a secret, the video of the "maiden voyage" isn't the actual first time it moved. When I realized I was close to that point I stayed up all night working on it. It was around 5am that I finished and I just had to see it move before I went to sleep. The video wasn't until the next morning when the camera woman was with me.

     

    I will post the log of all my expenses on the blog when I'm pretty sure its complete. Right now its around $6.5k.

  9. Up till now I have had little know how about EVs and the build requirements. This thread has brought total light to the subject! Thank you very much!!!

     

    You must have been pumped when you drove the Z out of the garage! Congrats!

     

    When you are all done...if you are ever done making improvements...Id would love to see a build sheet...a summary of parts and aprrox cost.

     

    And I too would like to know more about the all important charge time!
