Here are some pictures of the Trans mount (will work for T5, T45 and TR4650) I cut the flat sections, the center bridge and the water/oil adapter. I had the trans mount welded today...I also had the 3" flat iron cut for the motor mounts, trans mount bolt bracket pieces cut and I will be welding tomorrow. See pictures.

PS the trans mount is upside down compared to the Ford Mustang setup. It'll support dual exhaust!

I tried my hand at welding the motor and trans mounts...Horrible so I will be paying for a local mobile welder to come out and weld everything up at once.

I am waiting on funds to finish the suspension ( powder coating ) and am currently putting in the Lincoln MK VIII heating and A/C system and the 300zx z32 ABS system...If I use the 15" Swastikas...I will have to use Q45 (in place of the z32 calipers) calipers for now. The rears are late Z31 turbo rear ventilated setup.

It will be WAY cheaper if you're having a professional welder do the work to tack the mounts yourself, and bring it all in to their shop to weld everything up at once.

Also, you'll have to pull the mounts out if you have them bolted in the chassis or something, so they can weld all the 'hard to get to' installed sides of the mounts.

I am in envy! this project is amazing! looks cramped but i bet it is or will be totally worth it.

Yes it looks cramped BUT remarkably everything has been designed to be accessible...ie waterneck to block I had to cut out ~2" out so that I would clear the frame, I used F150 solid rubber mounts (that had mount recievers bolted to the frame in place of the liquid filled round mounts. I used the battery tray area to tap into the passenger side vent for a fresh air solution...I also used a Expedition oil filter relocation setup (which I will tap into for an oil cooler. I am currently going down a rabbit hole and installing ABS and 98 Lincoln MK8 Air Conditioning with digital control. Lots of fun.

Thanks for the reply

PS I tried installing a 5.4L with twin turbos but the long block alone wouldn't clear the hood.

Nice, a well planned venture! I hope one of these days I will too be able to embrace creativity. I personally have always dreamed of having a 4.6 in a Z!

After a few years of buying all kinds of engines (L28 turbo w/ jim wolf ecm, Nissan VK56DE, mercedes brabus inline 6 3.4L, AJ34S Jaguar XJS 400hp, Ford GT500 5.4L etc) and finally I got a wild hair to get something installed...The rest is history.

So why the 4.6, did you find more performance parts for it? or is it more bang for the buck?

I have (6) of the 4.6L's and (4) 5.4L's and the 5.4L doesn't fit and the 4.6L fits and I had a Tremec 5 speed. All the other motors only come in Automatics...I got the automatic bellhousing for the motors that I will be adapting to a manual setup.

PS I have (2) 0 mileage hyundai genesis coupe 2012 V8's and (3) 0 mileage hyundai genesis coupe 2012 V6's.

3.8L Lambda V6 engine producing 306 hp (228 kW; 310 PS) and 266 ft·lbf (361 N·m) torque.

4.6L Tau V8 producing 385 horsepower (287 kW) at 6,500 rpm and an identical 333 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm

More fun for the future

Neat pile of stuff. I've never seen a Mag for these newer motors. Is it still points, or breakerless? That is the one thing that does continue to work even with PATS, is spark, so you could still run the stock ignition if you wanted, with the coilpacks pretty easily. I am likin' the look of those individual throttle bodies though. B)

That neat pile of parts is pure eye candy, it is what some of just dream of getting our hands on. I'm just going with a 387W, stock 4 inch bore with the 3.85 scat crank. Along with long tube fox body headers. My torque boxes, and floor fell apart while I was waiting to get started, so I just cut them out along with the frame rails, and built a new frame with 1 1/2 x 3 tubing. Thats how I was able to use long tube headers. I can't wait to see yours going and watching a You Tube video of it.

The distributor is H.E.I. (Hi Energy Ignition) brakerless. Which I have the whole setup so I could fire up the engine while I'm figuring out the electronic ECM.

Here are some links of setups that are way easier. The guy that sold me the stand alone and distributor setup went to.

I wanted something exotic...Like the 60's Ford OHC 600hp big block that I read about when I was a teen. And I wish I could do headers also...Maybe in the future.

Hear are some pictures of the brakes. I found a company in Los Angeles that will drill the blanks for our wheel lugs.
