Colin G.
Trying to get q hold of some Maxima rear caliper brackets so that I can bolt on some calipers and rotors off an '82 zx.to my 240z. Anyone here know of a part counter that has these in stock or have some extra ones machined they'd like to sell?

RebekahsZ
I am having some custom maxima brackets made up (see drifting hydraulic handbrake thread). If you are not in a hurry, I could sell you my old ones. I have one that is uncut and requires either cuttting or removal of the stub axle. The other I have cut to allow mounting with 3 bolts without removing stub axle. I could cut the other one as well. These "old" brackets have only been used to mock up the conversion and are not even dirty. My new brackets should be ready Thursday and I should be able to mock them up over the weekend to ensure that the new brackets will work. Colin G.
I am in no rush, just hoping to secure a pair of brackets within the next month or so. I would purchase your brackets off you given that they are both cut and in good condition. Just shoot me an asking price and a photo and we'll go from there. P.S. I will be using these with calipers and rotors from an '82 280zx, which to the extent of my knowledge will work fine with these brackets. Z-Gad
Friend of mine has a new set still in plastic for $150 + shipping If you are interested, PM me and I'll see if they are still available... Mike
RebekahsZ
I don't know if the hub mounting bolt holes will be the same for a 280z and a 280zx. If you want to trace them or something, then send the tracing to me by snail mail, I could double check the mounting bolt holes. Machinist had to make some changes for me; my new brackets are to be ready Thursday. I'll try to send you some pictures. If you could send me your email address to pkeiththompson@yahoo.com for the pictures. Keith
SHO-Z
I have all of what you are looking for, the brackets are aluminum, I got them from one of the members that was machining them, used but were not used much ZX calipers, and new ZX rotors. I was going to do the conversion on my Z but the Z is sold. I will let the all of it go for $250 + shipping. I want someone to take all of it and will not sell parts of it. I would not be able to ship them for about 2 weeks.
Colin G.
Thanks SHO-z but I already have the calipers, rotors and stainless steel lines. Therefore I just need the brackets.
Daz
I have a source for billet aluminum brackets in Moreno Valley, Ca. I have a pair going on my late model 260z. He made me 2 set but at the time I could only afford 1. They are for 79-81 280zx calipers, I don't know if they different for 82' . Let me know, I can take pics of mine if you want. He's asking $175 ! Edited September 2, 2011 by Daz
