xtremerbz32 Posted September 17, 2011 Share Posted September 17, 2011 I am in position to get a s14 chassis with an rb26det in it for an awesome price the motor in it the rings are f'ed my question is this I have in my possession an rb25det i was wondering if i take the rb26 out of the s14 and put the rb25 in are the mounts the for the rb25 into the s14 the same as the rb26 into the s14 my plans are to build the rb26 over the next 6 mo or so n drive the car with the rb25 in it till the rb26 is done and fully built was wondering what kind of differences i might run into for this any input would be great and ty in advance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bob_H Posted September 18, 2011 Share Posted September 18, 2011 The mounts should be the same - the outputs for the turbo/etc. won't be - but it will physically bolt in and with some work you can make it work while you rebuild the rb26. it may be far cheaper/easier in the long run to sell the rb25 and just plain rebuild the 26. no driver during that time, but less money in the long run.
