turboHLS30
Hey everyone, I recently sold a bunch of stuff to a guy in Austrailia. I need to ship the stuff but I have never done it before. Has anyone done this, and want to help walk me through the process. Any help is appreciated.
bens1088
USPS is the cheapest (at least on packages under 10LBs). Get quotes online from USPS, UPS, & Fedex. Edited October 12, 2011 by bens1088
turboHLS30
I'm sending an intercooler, piping, turbo, turbo manifold, downpipe, and an intake plenum. Should weigh around 40-50lbs. When I try to get a quote and put in the zip code for the place in Aus. it tells me that I'm missing digits. The zip codes in Austrailia are 4 digit not 5 digit. bens1088
Hmm... I haven't shipped anything that heavy before so I couldn't give you an idea. Talk to a UPS store or USPS and they will help you out.
1 tuff z
If I may suggest; consider multiple boxes-this might help keep the shipping somewhat reasonable. I normally use usps for overseas shipping.
BluDestiny
Its expensive, you should have gotten quotes before. UPS will rape you, it is about half the price going through UPSP. They will kill you on size also, so if you can fit it into a bunch of smaller boxes it should actually be cheaper than a big box with all the stuff in it. 260DET
I hope the buyer is paying for the shipping, he should know it will cost a lot and should not be expecting you to pay for it unless it has already been factored into the price of the items When I buy stuff from the US the shipping is always extra. All that stuff should pack fairly compact, try Fedex or similar to see what they advise.

turboHLS30
Thanks everyone. I'll give USPS and FedEx a call after school. HS30-H, I had a feeling I was spelling it wrong lol
