r1short Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Hello all! I'm looking for some parts for my 72' 240z. I just bought a center console and I'm missing the lower part to the ashtray. If anyone has a clue to where I could get one let me know. But let me lost some priorities. Wants: 240z Euro/Clear Taillights 240z Euro/Clear Front Signal Lights 240z Heater Panel/Console I have seats in my car, but they need some serious tlc. If anyone has an idea of what I should do, please let me know. I have seen some assembly kits but I don't know how to tailor anything but I do know a guy that could do it. dexter72 Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Most likely you can buy a dash cap that fits over your cracked dash. If the seat foam is good in your seats, you can buy the vinyl kits that make your seats look good as new. Buying the foam for your seats increases the cost of course. Litman Posted January 22, 2012 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Which style dash are you looking for? 70-71 or 72-73? I have a very nice Series 2 (72-73) dash that is crack free and rust free. It has been out of its donor vehicle for the past four years, kept inside and periodically rubbed lovingly with saddle soap. Shipping would be somewhat expensive being that you really need to build an exoskeleton to protect the dash from cracking in transit. Six_Shooter Posted February 10, 2013 Share Posted February 10, 2013 Just an FYI, the '72 and '73 dashes are also different from each other, related to the Hazard switch, and indent for the on/off indication plate.
