Ok so i'm doing a SBC 350 swap into my 240z. Just wondering if its gonna be a bad idea for me to use a 4.11 longnose R200 open diff in cungunction with my small block and WC T5 tranny.

The SBC 350 will be putting down a very modest 300hp 350 tq at the flywheel. The car is going to be a 100% street car.

your thoughts?

the intent of the car is to be grand tourer. Lots of highway/freeway miles.

I also still have teh original R180 3.36 diff the car came with stock. Would i notice any realy differnce between a 3.55 and a 3.36?

If you dont shock load the rear diff(drag racing ,burnouts)I would leave the r180 in for awhile and drive it.With gas at $4 a gallon you will need all the help you can get .If you can get a wide band o2 set up on it to tune it that will help alot with gas mileage and the fumes in the back.If you just bolt on an old holley carb from a garage sale you are gaurenteed bad gas milage.
