Silver Mine Motors
truthfully I've been working a lot more than average lately, so i haven't had to much time. all i need to do is draw the bracket in cad so the cnc shop can make a prototype. once that happens i will probably need to adjust a few things and then mass produce it. things are slow because of my work right now, but don't worry, i think about it everyday! 1QWIKZ
Ok! Thanks for the update! Just don't want this to fizzle out...or have people think it has...
Silver Mine Motors
no it wont fizzle out. ive put to much work into it so far. it will be done eventually. i'll keep updating you guys.
Silver Mine Motors
ok today i made some good progress drawing the cad file for the first prototype bracket. i'm hoping to be done in about a week and half. then i can start to have an idea of how much the bracket would cost, and i could also make 1 bracket for a test fit. i'm sure i will have to go back and make adjustments until i get a perfect fit. 1QWIKZ
Cool! Hopefully I'll get a track day in this season with these!
Silver Mine Motors
yeah things should start to move a bit faster now that all the hand work is done. now it's just computer work and testing.
AkiraZX
Glad I found this thread. This sounds like something that I'll be interested in purchasing. The big, "However" to that is that I wouldn't be in the market for it until sometime next year. Hopefully enough S130 guys will jump on this to make this venture successful. Silver Mine Motors
OK guys the 280zx brake kit is completely done. the bracket has been made and it is ready to be produced. i'm proud to say that the bracket came out way above my expectations. it is truly a work or art. i decided to have it CNC machined out of 1018 cold rolled steel with zink platting to prevent rust. this bracket is indestructible, and will definitely outlast any car it goes on. price of the kit is going to be $655 complete. you won't need to buy any other parts to complete installation. i have to put the order in to produce the brackets. if you are interested in this kit let me know NOW. even if you'r not ready right now, but will be in the future. Silver Mine Motors
to Canada it would cost $175 but if you drive to Rochester New York and pick up the package it's only $70 i will not produce the kit unless we get a few people who want to order it now. it's to much of a financial risk for me. so let me know if you guys are interested! or else this kit will never be available. 1QWIKZ
$175? Really? I just did an estimate on fed-ex website (40lb package, 12"x12"x12" box, regular ground 3-5 bus days, from encino California to my home) and it was $58... What carrier and values were you using to get your estimate? I want the kit (we've been in contact about it since February)...but the shipping charge seems a little off... Rob. Silver Mine Motors
same specs except it's 60 pounds. i used usps. either way i need to make 20 brackets minimum. that's 10 kit's. i need to sell at least 3 right now if i'm going to put down $2000 for the brackets. it's to much of a risk if i don't. i hope you understand. I want the kit for sure...and we can discuss shipping logistics thru email. Rob.
