monster reem
No i need it for my n/a build i have to bump compression. I need a 1.0mm gasket. Does anyone have one?
Lazeum
If you keep it n/a, Felpro gasket is enough. I'm running L28 planned to push around 250 crank HP, I've got a felpro gasket.
NewZed
Isn't stock 1.25 mm? 1.0 isn't much of a bump, is it? About 0.2 increase for a stock L28.
Lazeum
Stock & Felpro are 1.0mm thick compressed. I've measured both during my engine rebuild. You should not use gasket thickness as an option to bump the compression ratio. You should use your head, your block & pistons/rods for this. I have machined the top of my pistons to match my setup: block resurfaced, milled P79 head & flat top pistons. monster reem
Well I wanted to get the head gasket from z car motorsports but there performance gasket is 300 bucks so I was wondering if anyone had a one or two mm performance gasket cheaper. I have a rebuilt n42 head so I wouldn't bump compression up to much bc my head is alil under spec so it would put it back within its limit. Zmanco
Why are you not considering the Felpro?
Josh280z
Felpro has been used for MANY years... It is a reliable gasket if everything is installed properly and nothing is warped. You will be fine.
