superduner
hey team, performed the swap on the 72z with the following set up, 83zx rear calipers, late maxima stock rear brackets, stock ebrake cable. Problem is when i pull the ebrake (even all the way back) the rear tires keep spinning and one side BARELY has any tension. Anybody know what needs to be done? do i have to cut the steel wire and make them shorter or tighten the ebrake nut under the tunel? can't have this bad boy rolling down the hill on me one of these days lol

seattlejester
From what I've gathered, you should try flipping the cables, so feed the left one to the right rear brake and the right one to the left rear brake. The calipers are closer than the original location so you have to eat up some of the slack.
