m1ghtymaxXx Posted September 24, 2012 Share Posted September 24, 2012 I recently bought a 77 280Z and it's just about ready to hit the road. I just noticed last night that it won't route air to the defrost vents. The fan blows fine, but switching to the defrost setting doesn't seem to do anything. I have yet to take a closer look or go through FSM, but I figured I'd start gathering some advice. My guess it a linkage is broken, but that's only a guess. In the mean time I've got some Rain-X antifog, but I'm not sure how effective it is. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zohanisback Posted September 25, 2012 Share Posted September 25, 2012 Sounds like a linkage to me. I find that the linkages get old and break after a while. On my Datsun I intend to upgrade the vent system with something a little more...custom. Plan on doing fab for better linkages and vents.
