Poundz9oh9
I installed those on my car using the LHD instructions posted above. Now, I can't see as much as I could with a large set of truck mirrors, or even the stock door mounted ones, but with the size that they are, I can see just fine. These are only a temporary solution until I spring for a "real" set, whether it be OEM, Repro's or even the Celica style ones (Maybe I can find some decent, less pricey ones when I'm on that side of the world for a year starting this summer). I just can't get over the plastic"ness" of these, but what do you expect for what you spend on them.
devgru38
Use directions above. I sanded mine down to remove all seams and painted them. With a good paint job it doesn't matter what material they are; mine look very high quality now. Certainly no worse than the OEM mirrors that sell for hundreds. As far as usability, i found a 100mm diameter convex glass and epoxied it on. Visibility is better than any car I've driven. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0088ARCRS/ref=pe_175190_21431760_3p_M3T1_ST1_dp_1 Only photo i have so far: https://www.flickr.com/photos/7291368@N07/8587497209/in/photostream Edited March 27, 2013 by devgru38
SoCal-s130
Love the way these look. Like everyone else has mentioned they suck when it comes to visibility. Above post with the convex glass is an excellent idea. I'll have to try that as well. Installed on my car.
Tony D
Differentiate what we are saying here: "all" the reports say REPRODUCTIONS "suck"? As I never had issues with the OEM Fairlady Z mirrors in the proper locations... No blind spots whatsoever. AZGhost623
I would be real curious to see how the OEM mirrors dimensionally stack up against the Reproductions. Im still a bit put off on putting the reproductions on. I need them to be functional, just not for looks. So where can you find OEM Fender Mirrors Tony? Tony D
Japan, still in Nissan current-stock boxes. Must be dealer obsolete inventory not on their computer system...
