str8pipez
Had a new shift and e-brake boot made to match closer to my Sparco seats. I had the blue stitch used to since the car is blue. Not bad for $20.
Josh280z
I like it, got a new one for my ZX, blue stitching as well, though different material....
m1ghtymaxXx
Is it just glued to the underside of the console? I need to figured a new shift boot since I swapped in an 83 ZX trans and shifter, and the stock boot in my 77 doesn't allow enough movement for the straight ZX shifter to engage 1st, 3rd and 5th. str8pipez
I used the factory clips the PO left me.
thedarkie
The factory clips are u-channel metal things about 1.5-2" in length, correct? Curiousity: are you able to remove them with relative ease or are they a complete bitch to get out? I've had to access my shifter at least 4 times in the past month for various reasons and I got sick of lifting the entire console, so I squeezed the clips out one by one from above, but putting them back is another matter altogether.... they're VERY tight. str8pipez
Yep, very tight. Easiest to do with the console out.
