How much HP/TQ can the stock S30 hubs take?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I am building a RB25 260z, planning to make some high numbers (around 600-700hp) and I heard somewhere that the huns on those cars are weak and dangerous if they break. So i was wondering how much power can the hubs really take before the wheel goes flying away? and is it true that they are weak?

Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

280 stub axles

Im not going to run the original Diff. If you are referring to the stub axles that slide into the differential. I am going the FORD 8.8 diff with drive shaft shop axles. but its the hubs that i am worried about.

The hub is the part of the strut that the bearings fit into. The stub axle is the part that goes through the hub. The DSS axles fit up to stock stub axles, at least the ones that I've seen do. You need to look at upgrading the stub axles. So again, search "chromoly stub axles" and you'll find what you need.
