Bernardd
I've changed the head on my 83 turbo from a 90a to a 90 and I can't get the sprocket up to cam. Is the P90 taller? Just checking before I take out the rad, fan and front cover to see what is going on.
SleeperZ
Did you keep tension on the chain the whole time it as off the cam sprocket? If not, most likely your chain tensioner popped out, and you need to remove the front cover to replace it. Been there, done that.
David K
Timing chain? "been there done that". lol havent we all?
Lockjaw
If you did not stake the timing chain, you are in for a treat. There used to be a tensioner offered that had a sheet metal limiter so the tensioner would not pop out, and I swore i was going to buy one, the next time i rebuilt an engine, but that was 4 or 5 engines ago. Sorry to be in agreement with the rest of the guys, but I think your tensioner popped out.
