jkgts1
Ok so im looking for a very gradual bent piece of stainless, 3", 90 degree. The largest radius 90 degree bends i see for sale is 8" radius, which is too tight for my purpose. This is for a down pipe from the turbo. i tried a 8" radius 90 degree pipe but its too sharp for my liking. Im looking for something thats been ring rolled, or something similar. Does this make sense? My other option is to make one by cutting a bunch of angled pieces and weld them together myself, but thats a ton of work. Any ideas? Domzs
How about 45 deg. pieces ? Any pic of what you are trying to do ?
jkgts1
I thought about the 2 45 degrees, but didnt think it would look good. I think I might be a bit too anal about the issue but I have a feeling if I just do whats easiest It will bug me and I will redo it anyway, lol. Here is the pic. I can maybe modify the prebent 90 degree and be happy. I just wanted to know if there was anything out there that was a more gradual bend. Domzs
8 in. radius would be fine . And where did you find 8 in. radius pipe ? I found 6 in. at Summit Racing , that's the largest they have .

Chris Duncan
What you need is sand bent tubing. Basically custom. You pack a length of tubing with sand, weld caps on the end, heat it with a rose bud tip torch and bend it to wherever you need it. The sand keeps it from kinking. If you have any vintage race car shops around they can probably do it.
