Here is the run down so far, this work was done by the previous owner.

Body: Shaved emblems and rear bumper, minor dent in passenger fender

Suspension: Tokico coilovers in all 4 corners with weld in camber plates up front.

Interior= Stripped except for cracked dash, 2- racing seats(worn) and 2- 5 point harnesses

Fuel system = Brand new from the 12 gal Jaz fuel cell to a walbro 255 inline pump to custom made palnet fuel rail fit for 11mm o-ring injectors to the 440cc supra injectors to the aeromotive FPR and all tied together with brand new braided nylon hose all the way back to fuel cell.

Engine= L28 from a 280z with a mild cam. Bolted to this engine is a BRAND NEW GT3076R dual ball bearing turbo, Tial wastegate custom welded to exhaust manifold and custom made screamer tube with a custom 3" dump tube from the turbo all fully heat wrapped with a o2 bung welded in.
All the oil feed/return and water feed/return lines are plumbed and ready to go!
The car got a brand new oil pan gasket and intake/exhaust manifold gasket installed when the oil pan had to be removed to weld in oil return bung and intake manifold gasket replaced when it got a new intake/exhaust manifold as well as new manifold studs all loctite-d in.
The intake manifold has been ported from 48mm to 60mm to work with a 240sx throttle body(installed and wired up)

Bolted on the front of the engine is a brand new BHJ Dynamics harmonic damper and a 36-1 trigger wheel

Next to the trigger wheel is a Ford VR sensor with custom mount wired up to a Ford EDIS system.

On the back of the engine is a brand new perfomance flywheel (10lbs rather than stock 23lbs) and a stage 2 centerforce clutch.

That puts the power down to the 5spd close ratio transmission from a 280zx which goes to the stock rear end which has a locker.

The entire engine bay has been degreased, sanded, primed, and painted black to clean itup and make the new mods pop.

On the firewall is a Megasquirt relay board with the cable the goes inside to the passenger footwell where the Megasquirt v3 ECU is.

The relay board only has the VR sensor and Ford EDIS-6 system wired up so far.

Welcome to the community!

So does your car run? Or have you inherited a work in progress? Either way that thing is gonna be FAST! And very similar to the setup I'm putting together for my own car. Good luck to ya

It did run stock before all the mods but I inherited his work in progress and will continue down this route. Only concerns as of right now is rust, passenger side has a small rust hole but everything else looks pretty clean. Once I get up under it I will give it a good look over, especially at the frame rails and various spots that are known for bad rust.

Not much to update so far as I only work on the 260z during the weekend, but I did manage to tear down the doors and fix the driver side door so now it opens and closes properly.

Things to come.

Mishimoto Radiator

Mishimoto Intercooler

Intercooler Plumbing

Wiring Up the Megasquirt ECU

and hopefully diving into the engine a little bit more.

Now where have I seen that Z before?  Rebekahz?  Dunno.  It really sounds like it's had a lot of work done to it. though I'd guess it's seen some time, if the 5 point harnesses are worn.   What are you planning on doing with it? Racing?  Daily driver, Resto-mod? At this point, you could do about anything and be really happy with it's performance.  Getting it running is a priority, but be sure to check the brakes.   I think you'll be really happy with the MS setup. it's awesome once it's all setup.

I am gonna use it for racing but I do wanna keep it street legal so I can have some fun on the weekends.

Alright so after all this cold weather, I finally have a little update, the Mishimoto Radiator is on it's way as well as the Mishimoto silicone radiator hoses! If all goes well today I should start getting everything wired up as well! It's a slow process but it is getting there.

Alright, got a lil bit of an update, I have ordered everything I need for the cooling system.

Here is what I picked up.

Mishimoto G-line intercooler (might be temporary, thinking about going over to Tredstone)

2.5 intercooler plumbing (cheap kit from amazon but it will do the trick)

Mishimoto 3.00 to 2.5 couplers

Tredstone Tial BOV adapter

Now I need to get that taken care of and hooked up and then it will be time to wire up the MS and take care of the throttle cable.
