socorob
I'm installing mt TTT rear coilovers and they are touching my cv joints. Are these things supposed to be left and rights? Mine look the same, but they are touching. Anyone else run into this? Am I doing something wrong?
fast-datsun
None of our conversion with the TTT have rubbed...
socorob
The other side has about 1/16" of clearance and this side, upon further inspection, rubs just barely for about an inch of rotation in 2 spots so I think I'll let it ride. The rest of it has about 1/32" or so clearance. I guess the boot is a little thicker in those 2 spots and will wear down enough to clear. tooquick260
Mine do not rub.... Could it be it is not seated all the way?
socorob
It's seated all the way. The boots are really thick and I think the early q45 cv joints look a little bigger than my friends z32 cv joints. Maybe that's the difference? Zinpieces
I had the same problem. Check the angle of the mounting tab to the base. If its not 90 degrees then there was some warping during welding. Gabriel replaced mine no problem.
socorob
The tab that's welded onto the backing plate or the tabs welded to the strut tube?

They do have a good reputation, and it does seem like forever waiting on parts, but you're going to have to get used to things like that dealing with specialty parts. You will be aggravated often if in a hurry.
5thgenluder
Mine took almost 2 months. They were waiting on shocks.
SUNNY Z
Mine were very close as well. Z31 NA CV for what its worth. I just hammered the band clamp down a little, and they clear just fine!
socorob
That's what I was gonna try to do since its only barely rubbing in 2 spots.
