thedarkie
Does anyone have a photo of how their sway bar is connected to the tubular AZCar a-arms? Mine was mounted to a small L-shaped bracket with a poorly fitted bolt which broke upon removal... now I have to extract the thing and re-mount, but Im wondering if it was done correctly in the first place. Thanks
thedarkie
To elaborate: The previous owner attached a simple (albeit thick) L-bracket to this point Image borrowed from http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/78614-my-new-rear-lcas/
jhm
How about welding a decent piece of flatbar across the two diagonal legs of the control arm? (With a hole drilled for the sway bar end link.) That would essentially replicate the stock mounting position, no?
thedarkie
That sounds like it would work well, but I'm trying to avoid taking the suspension apart. I'd like to just replace the broken bolt, but only if the l-bracket setup is deemed 'sufficient'. If people chime in and tell me why its horribly wrong I'll replace it. Thanks for your input. richie2619
Pulling your control arms out isn't that big of a project. Think of the peace of mind of knowing it was done right. T3 control arms have an easily accessible mounting point, just like JHM stated.
