the240z
So im redoing a 240z and definitely want to get some racing style seats with 5 point harnesses. yes building a cage so thats not a problem but I was wondering what seats you guys use and what seats support 5 point harnesses. Been reading a lot about recaro and cipher and sparco and corbeau and procar, and not a lot of the cheap seats ($300 each or less) support 5 point harnesses with the crotch hole. Was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to go or what to get for that im looking for. thanks

dsommer
Concering the cage. Measure measure measure. I've got an auto power roll bar and at 6'2" it doesn't allow me to move the seat back far enough to allow me to be comfortable. This is with Sparco seats. May have to ditch the bar Another fellow Z car guy that lived down the street from me did the same thing but did a welded cage in a show car. He was very uncomfortable in the car also. So, save yourself the grief if you're over 6'. And again measure. I would mount a seat in the car WITH the dash board and steering wheel in place before building the cage. Agreed. mount the seat in a comfortable position. Have the cage build around you. I have the same problem with other cars in the past.
