Chris_Hamilton
Hello all, just wondering if anyone has any tips to help me determine whether or not a car I found on Craigslist has a LD28 crank in it? Is it even possible? Found a car on Craigslist and would like to be somewhat sure I'm getting what seller is claiming to have. Engine is in the car and has some rod knock, seller claims to have bought it from someone else who did all the work on it. There is some evidence that it has had something done to it but my main interest in it is to get that crankshaft. Wonder if there is any way to be a little more certain that I'm getting what he claims to have. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Tony D
Pull spark plug, install Mr. Gasket cylinder volume gauge, and crank it over. Barring not having one of those, pull spark plug, mark a rod/pencil at TDC. Rotate to BDC, mArk rod or pencil....withdraw and measure.
