VSnakeByteV
I have a 1971 240Z With a LT1. The car will have a 700R4 and I'm just wondering what people are using for a shift kit. I like the looks of the one for the 82-92 Camaro and Firebirds, has anyone used one? Edited May 9, 2015 by VSnakeByteV
VSnakeByteV
I also was wondering if anyone has used a different center console. Edited May 9, 2015 by VSnakeByteV
jhm
B&M Mega-Shifter on my 200-4R. For non-OEM, B&M seems to be an industry standard for auto shifters....very beefy construction and easily adapted to wide variety of applications. A lot of people do away with the center console completely, but it's certainly not necessary. Sorry I don't have a better picture.
VSnakeByteV
Awesome, thanks for the picture! How difficult was the install? I would also like to keep the center console. Which shifter is that one specifically?
jhm
B&M Mega-Shifter 80690 (I think. It was a few years ago.) Pretty easy install, using some flat plate for mounting surface in the stock shifter mounting location. Had to do some minor trimming on the center console and the shifter base. I like the ratchet action and reverse lockout, and it's compatible with 3- and 4-speed autos.
ritrebor
Here's mine. B&M Pro Stick Sunk it a few inches in the hump so it would not be high and I could use my console. ritrebor

VSnakeByteV
Wow looking good. I'll have to see if I can get one of those ash tray covers. Thanks! 720fast - is that a stock auto insert for the car?
