Motor & Tranny mounts

Recommended Posts

So took the z to dyno past weekend.

Motor is moving or stretching the drivers mount about 3 inches. Thus is during hard acceleration. Also the shifter moves far enough to the right or rotate that a rapid shit 2nd to 3rd does not engage.

What has everyone done about motor mounts and tranny mounts. Are u using stock or self made? I think one issue we have is the mid tranny mounts are piggy backed because of the 6 speed s15 tranny. The mount bolts to the tranny but is 6 inches further to the rear.

Any wisdom and experiences appreciated. Don't want to goto polyurethane mounts as it brings in to much transfer of harmonics and vibrations.
