Hypertek
Ok im pretty new to carbs in general. Im trying to adjust the jets and they seem stuck (both of them). Any suggestion on freeing them up? I can turn the knob any direction but the jets dont move up or down. Car sat over 10 years.. I got the car running but figured everything i should set to baseline and tune it first. Edited December 2, 2015 by Hypertek
Miles
http://www.ztherapy.com/ buy the video "Just SUs" You will be able to diagnose and repair any SU carb. Well worth the money for anyone new to SU carbs.
Hypertek
I took the nozzle out I think maybe they are both just seized, maybe from sitting for years with the choke on or off. Edited December 2, 2015 by Hypertek
seattlejester
If you tap them with a hammer they can release, usually people tap the carb housing to get them un-stuck. If they have been that way for a while though, you may just want to replace them, there are a couple videos that get into the nitty gritty, but the just SU videos are indeed very good if you plan on keeping the carbs for any amount of time.
