280JZFlorida
Hey people. Doing a 2JZGTE swap, matched up to a CD00A/CD009 with an OEM Clutch Slave Cylinder VQ35DE, and 6 puck single disk competition clutch. Getting to final details stage and wondering if my stock 1978 280Z clutch master needs to be upgraded to a better match. I see posts replacing with clutch master with willwood 7/8 and swapping out shaft, but I am not sure about the match up on the trans side for my setup. Anyone put a CD009 in a S30 running 500-600 hp with any thoughts? Thanks and stay healthy.
NewZed
This is the important part. If the pressure plate is the same type as the Z engine, and the fork ratio is the same, there's no good reason to change any of the hydraulics. Slave stroke calculated with fork ratio gives throwout sleeve travel. That's what disengages the clutch.
