Mikelly
Guys, I'm getting ready to tear down my 383 stroker to re-ring it, and while it is down I'd like to go ahead and have the rotating assembly balanced. Where in our area can I have this done??? Also, what do you guys think the cost is gonna run? Mike Kelly
Tim240z
Mike, Sorry no help for your area, but I would call some of the racing guys (esp. boat)in the area and see where they take their work to. These guys have usually already done their homework on who does the best work, so you can usually be pretty confident. This is hard to say but....when it comes to good machine work, don't look at the prices...to pay for good work only hurts once!!! blueovalz
Mike, balancing in my area (AR) runs between $150-$275.
pparaska
Mike, I use: Burtonsville Performance Machine Services 5210 Minnick Rd LAUREL, MD 20707 301-490-3131 (They keep records for every crank/assembly they do - 10 years after mine was done they were able to rebalance another crank since they still had my bob weights for my 327 on file.) This place is also supposedly good: House Of Balance 6340 Howard Lane ELKRIDGE, MD 21075 410-379-8330
