Guest das280zx
Thought some of you would want to know. I just oredered new suspension bushings and insulators for the rear. I got the two insulators on the crossmembers, the diff insulator, and 4 new control arm bushings. Was about 160 bucks shipped from courtesy nissan. Not bad for nissan parts, about what motorsport had them listed for.
auxilary
Why not order the entire energy suspension PU kit for $180? this would cover steering coupler, all bushings, steering rack bushings, and diff. bushings

denny411
Who is it that carries the energy suspension kit? I`m going to need one soon.
Guest das280zx
Well, they don't make a full kit for the 280zx as far as I know. Even if they did, I really don't want urethane bushings all that bad. After taking the rear suspension apart and looking at the few rubber bushings, I have decided that there would be little reason to have urethane. How much can these rubber bushings flex anyhow, less than a couple of mm's I image, probably wouldn't even notice. But anyhow I thought getting stock stuff for that price seems reasonable. I'll let you know if it makes any difference. My stock suspension is 20+ yrs old and has 200,000+ miles on it, so it should.
Mudge
Ferrari F50, no rubber/poly bushings anywhere, made for MEN With some horsepower the rear will flex enough that you will get to enjoy the 'clunk clunk' sounds they made. Poly flexes, you can sure bet rubber does, that stuff compresses in your hands!
Georgia Flash
Yep, my rubber bushings on the rear of my 75 were squashed so much that it was pitiful. I am currently rebuilding with poly urethane.
auxilary
Hey Aux' date=' you really know how to make a guy's day, huh? Tim[/quote'] haha! Well, I should've done my research better. They make separate bushings you can buy relatively cheap, but not a full kit like the 240-280z http://www.suspension.com/nissancars.htm
Cyind
Plus you can still get red ES bushing last time I checked. I ordered mine in red (Master Kit for 76) and it was the same price. It took three weeks to get them. Suspension Rest stocks black all the time but what I really wanted was blue bushings so I asked Bruce to ship what he could and I had to wait three weeks to find out what I was going to get. Bruce told me they stopped making the blue ones but he would ask anyways. Give them a call and they will hook you up... 209.578.5101 Great customer service also BTW, when I ordered bushings for my 77 I mixed the Z front bushings and Corvette for the rear which was no problem other it was right after ES burned down and was just getting started make bushings again.
