David K
Hi, Maybe try removing the pilot bushing and see it if slides in then?
SleeperZ
The automatics have a spacer plate on the end of the crank. It will just pop off with a little persuasion.
77280
i took the spacer off but my main problem is the new pilot bushing wont go in the end of the crank
SleeperZ
That's strange. The turbo motors I pull, attached to auto trannies, have no pilot bushing at all. AFAIK, all the cranks are the same, but go buy a pilot bushing specifically for the car which your motor came out of. If it still won't fit, have it reamed out before you install it. Mudge
Once the spacer is off you will need to grease/oil the pilot a bit, and get it as close to level as you can, and bang it in carefully. I just did the swap recently and the donor turbo car was an automatic.
